i have a chrome grill and a silver truck. i've already painted the badges black and now i want to paint the grill. i want to go flat black with all the chrome, even the toyota emblem. i know how to do it but i was wondering if there were any specifics paints that work better than others in your experiences. any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

    Krylon all the way.

Just sand it and spray it.

X2 on the adhesion promoter. whats best is sand it and find a good flexible primer, that really grabs onto the "chrome" so you have a good base. sand it smooth. and spray it black.

I had a local auto body paint store that sold everything you could imagine and this is all the stuff I used. came out like eggshell more then flat or gloss. didnt know what i was getting.
