Well I have an 07 dcsb with 32k miles and icon coilovers that I've used but not abused at all but I have a bug for the raptor and need some opinions. The taco is as "built" as I want I'm just itching for something more that the raptor has. Let's hear what you think.

Tacomas and all vehicles are not without issues. If you look, posts about rattle trap tacomas exist as do sludging and other failures. The bent frames are not every raptor just like the floor mat extravaganza was not every taco. And no, it is not just an f150.

I think both are good trucks. I know this is Tacoma world, I
Am just looking for some opinions. Appreciate them. For my simple mind, I don see a raptor as the same. Different shocks, a arms and such. Saying it is the same to me is like saying a lifted, armored, uca Tacoma is the same as the off the lot trd...

Just how my brain is wired.

Nor do I plan to race my taco or other truck. For that I'll buy a racecar!

Cost, Good point. The couple things I like, kinda wimpy I admit, is the leather seats(can do to taco) and the interior comfort and features. The ride is a bit better than the icons still.

I vote raptor, coming from long travel with a supercharger. If you want to buy a purpose built truck from the factory that is ready to romp with a warranty go for a raptor.

I have driven a Raptor about 200 miles (on road only). If I had to choose I would keep my Tacoma just because I am more comfortable with it's size and the 6 speed auto in the raptor drives me nuts, but that again is just a personal preference, I like my manual transmission. I would like to try one with the paddle shifter to see if it is any better.
If you need more interior room and you like the Raptor, go for it.
