    Yeah I never get the logic behind doing that with jack stands. If I ever saw someone do that to my car I would chew them a new ass.... plus there is an empty ramp right next to the taco...

    i worked at a tire shop for 2 years and thats perfectly safe. usually i only used 3 jacks. 2 under the front and one under the chunk in the back. duallies and everything. never had a single one fall.

    I'd feel alot more safer if my vehicle was supported by jack stands, hydraulic jack do have the possibility of failure when supporting a vehicle

    Just thought I'd share. Weekend out with the boys on the Shuswap Lake in the beautiful Okanagan in BC. Yesterday, just after leaving the dock, a ski boat cut us off, causing a shit load of water to splash over the bow.... My brand new Nikon D3100 is ruined, along with my telephoto lens... And about $6000 of my buddy's video equipment is ruined as well. There is cold beer though, so that's an up side.
