3" lift, whats the best route to take

I am looking at lifting my 08 access cab 3" and putting on new wheels with more than likely 285's. My question is what lift kit or combination of parts is the best way to go. not looking for the cheaper route but the best most reliable route. I am firm believer of spending money right the first time and being 100% satisfied rather than a more cost effective solution resulting in wanting to improve. I am all about function and i want to maintain reliability.

Search there's tons of thread like this and also look into toytec they make pretty good lifts for an affordable price

 

The most popular 3"s on the site are eibach coils mated with 5100's and an AAL, or OME coils mated with OME struts/shocks with an AAL.

IMO, the best 3" for second gens would be OME coils/struts and shocks, and a OME leaf pack in the rear

If you're willing to spend a little more, you can look at high end coilovers, like Kings or Fox

 

Old man emu is probably a good investment I've talked to a couple that have it and haven't heard anything bad about them

I'm sure alot of people will give me crap and think otherwise (except blacktacoma23) but i have the pro comp full 3" lift and love it. have had no issues with travel, articulation, or anything. Ride is the usual stiffer than stock, but not too bad honestly. I've gone everywhere plus some that the icons, OME's etc have gone. I noticed your In Chandler too. I'm off Elliot and priest myself. If you want to, you an always check out my truck and go for a ride. In the end, Its all what you want.. you can spend a crap load of money and get a really nice set up, or save alot of money and still get a nice set up. Lol personal preference really.

dakar leaf springs. best mod i made. stock leaf's suck. increases your payload. blocks and aal's are a waste of time unless your trunk's a mall cruiser. i would get lift springs instead of billies if i had to do it again.

 

Yeah no complaints for me either, My bumper helped smooth out the ride up front.

 

Just noticed that.. how long have you had that bumper? Looks good man. saw a couple vids on YouTube of your guys' last run. Truck looks great.

Oh and takin the sway bar off helps too OP.
