I saw the 599.00 one on eBay but am not sure who I would buy from as there are some discrepancies from one dealer to the next about whether you get a GPS antenna or not.

Is this a Rosen product? One of the eBay vendors lists AXT Video as the mfg.

The reviews on Crutchfield are very few and too hit and miss to make a real evaluation.

that definitly looks good! I have a jvc in dash navigation unit and I notice it doesnt seem as sturdy as a stock stereo unit....the only drawback.

    Looks good. Very oem.
My only concern is they don't say who makes it (unless I missed it). I would be worried about map updates, bluetooth compadibilty etc.
I have a kenwood Dnx 6960. With the dash kit it looks quite good, and I like the fact that the gps software is from gamin, so it is very easy to use and update.
I'm guite happy with it. I bought it from crutchfeild who has a good return policy in case I didn't like it.

If you do get it, give us an update.

yezh forgot to read first. ive been in the business for a long time, rosen is the only company that builds factory looking navigations that has actually been around long enough to have a proven record for wuality and function. it is def worth the extra money.

And I'm not worried about support, just a good product. If I had support or a good product I would not be replacing my failing OEM.

What have you installed the Rosen in? Your experience is what I have been looking for to help make up my mind.

Lots of cars, I worked for a company that sold Rosen for about 8 years now I own my own business I usually sell them to dealers as a factory look is very important to them and Rosen has a great warrant if installed on a new vehicle before sale. They look just like a factory option. The pre amp and audio adjustability aren't up to the standards set by the pioneer and Kenwood aftermarket units but they weren't designed with that type of customer in mind. And they arestill much better than factory for adding amps and such if that's something you're ever interested in. One nice reTire with there vehicle specific units is the steering wheel controlls are plug in. Much easier install and no programming Nd no extra parts to buy. Personally I like the look because it worsted factory. You also get a very good I pod interface on the new models.

I saw that the 'OS' is Windows CE. How does 'windows' run for a automotive device? Did you ever see it crash or lockup like the typical windows computers do?

How does the gps compare to those of garmin? what about the upgrading of maps?

One of the eBay screenshots listed software by these guys:

    http://roadrover.cn/e/

I'm going to be the guinea pig. Ordering today. Just need to gamble on the right vendor. The cheapest one, $599, doesn't list any warranties and has only sold 18 items. Do I want to save $100 on this guy or spend $100 more on someone that has sold thousands and has a warranty...
