The First mod I had the courage to do was to tint the tails. I know many frown upon it but they looked so bland against the DSM color

Tail light "how to" write up link is in my sig

I then gathered the balls to stick my headlights in the oven to do the BHLM, I also painted the valance black out of boredom.

Next was the overly done satoshi[IMG]. I had heard of people paying upwards of $150 for the grillecraft insert so I decided to go to a local metal shop and purchased sheet of expanded metal for $11. Total price for my satoshi build was around $45, can't beat that!

Later on I added the "toyota" badge that I had from the tailgate debadge and painted it red for some "pop"

Wired up some Hella 500's mounted on a homemade aluminum bar. My first electrical experience and the lights turned on!

Got tired of the chrome grille so I did a late night paint job

Couldn't decide on wheels so I just painted my stocks black

    5_2e144dad7de905a8e2251112aa73ac59842b94ab.jpg

Added some contrast to the interior with the extra paint left over

Needed to run a flag for safety purposes at the Pismo Jamboree so I found some left over stock from the 500's mount bar and made this mount. By far the funnest thing to make for some reason.

On my way to training with my bro and he convinced me to take a "shortcut". Ended up hitting a REALLY deep "puddle" and got saved only because my frame and hitch got caught on the edge of hard dirt. Had to get pulled out by a UPS semi truck[IMG][IMG]

So I had to trip her out to clean up the mess and vacuum out any water I could get. I also took this time to run my coax for my install of a CB Radio at a later time.

and where I installed my CB. Don't like it there anymore but I have to find a new shifter bezel before I can relocate it since I cut a hole there[IMG]

I then ordered some 1.25" spidertrax spacers from a member and was pleased with how it changed the stance.

I Decided that I wanted an aftermarket bumper but couldn't afford to drop around $700 at the time so I made my own for $100[IMG]. I looked at All Pro and Relentless because I liked features from both and I combined them.

    Mock ups

This one corner seriously took me and my bro about 4 hrs to make.

I loved the thing especially because I created it but Billy from BruteForce Fab made me an incredible deal so I now have his plate bumper on my Taco.

The bumper has a built in hitch behind the license plate so I made a flip bracket from an old lawnmower piece.

My most recent change was the mounting location for my CB antenna. I moved it to the driver side corner of the bed for better reception.

    2011-08-30145810_80cd2f9bbec0486ae69dd77cfa54ea181030b6b7.jpg

Added a spring mount and strap it down when not in use.

    UPDATE 09-15-2011

Went to a mom and pop tire shop to get a tire replaced on my sister-in-law's car and while I was waiting for the fix I noticed some nice wheels stacked up on the far side of the property. Got closer and realized they are the style of wheels that I had been wanting, sure enough, they ended up fitting my truck:D. Even better, the dude said he was trying to sell them for a client and I took them for $220 mounted and balanced:woot::taco::taco:

The machine finish stuck out like a sore thumb so me and my brother gave it the "Rustoleum Flat" finish. Then he had the idea to bronze the lip studs and they look awesome.

    No lip studs

Crappy night pic the night we finished
[IMG]I will be getting new lug nuts soon.

    Thanks guys.

The first bumper took a bout two weeks from cardboard concept to finished product, I was very happy with it.

Lift will be going on soon, I had to halt plans due to layoffs but just got a new job that I start this week:D
