Overstock.com has the 4x4 DCSB TRD Off-Road (Non-JBL) w/tow package for $29,235 in our zip code.

I would go on there, price out what you want, bring that with you and tell them you'll do the deal for that price. Even after dealer fees (assuming $599ish) you'll be saving about $1,000.

I got the exact same truck you are looking at, but in 2WD and I paid $25,099 out the door. Just something to think about.

As far as your trade goes, NADA has your truck listed at $22,275 in rough condition. I would have them go higher on that, too. Maybe have them go with the Overstock price and give you $21,500 for your truck.

If it would help, I can meet you up there and bring the paperwork on my truck from Central Florida Toyota.

    Just my $.02,

    Fink

I did the USAA/overstock thing too, while the new truck comes to 30,476 (at winter park) my trade in they quote me is 19,300 for my truck. The other places I went to I argued with them about nada and kbb but got nowhere. So this time around I'm getting 1,200 more on my truck and just over what overtock and usaa gave me, but still below invoice. With all that explained does it still sound bad?

edit- actually usaa had me at 31,144 for the new truck

It never sounded bad - I'm just wondering why the price you got on Overstock was so much higher than my $29,235?

I would still walk back in and tell them it's a deal if they take $1,000 off. Doesn't matter how good of a deal it seems to be...I always pressure them until my pen hits the paper.

Congrats man! I bet you're stoked!

It's crazy that they had a 4x4 on the lot - there weren't any when I was looking for my PreRunner.

    Crazy!

I'll take the extra $5k and leave it in the bank - I love my PreRunner! :D

New front end looks absolutely hilarious and doesn't blend with the rest of the truck at all.

The new interior is definitely an improvement though, credit where it's due:

Big brake kit (BBK) has been around for the X-Runner for years. The stock brakes on TRD Sport/OR are already pretty good, with four-piston calipers, though the pedal feel is horrible.

You probably won't be able to use 16" wheels with the BBK installed. Something to think about if you use steel winter wheels or want the "fake beadlock" TRD wheels.

    Lots.
The TRD BBK doesn't fit on tacomas regardless of the size of your wheel.

^ It fits on 5-luggers. Toyota lists it as a Tacoma accessory: http://www.toyota.com/tacoma/accessories.html

Toyota also makes one for 1st-gen Tundra with the 6-lug bolt pattern. Should be easy for Toyota to adapt to the TRD Sport:
