Anyone have any blue prints for a bumper for a 1998?

I have a guy that could fabricate me one for cost.

    Just needed some good plans.

Sorry, I don't just give up my plans for free. A lot of work goes into designing stuff like that

you'd have better luck with this search on TTORA.
I'm with cummins6speed. there's a bunch of work in designing a good bumper, so most wont just give out plans...

your gonna need a tube bender, welder, tube cutter, measure tools, and other useless stuff. cummins is right, it takes alot of time to come up with a plan and even more to actually build it! just type in the search thing on top bumper, 1st gen bumper, tube bumper, plate bumper...... blah blah blah :der:

rip off all the stock crap, determine your mounting points and then start building the bumper with the look you're going for in mind, as well as the functionality you want the end product to have. For instance, you want a winch? Make sure you make the bumper stick out enough and have enough height inside to clear the winch you want. Just go from there. Grab a sheet of cardboard and a box knife, cut a few little templates of certain plates as you go until it looks the way you want, then transfer the pattern to steel and cut it out. Use a grinder to clean edges and make the seams tight, then tack weld in place and keep doing that til theres a bumper on the truck...

this is exactly how me and my buddy build my bumper. just start with cardboard then go from there.

The design is really the most time consuming part.

Just have a idea what you want and build it

Mine was fast and quick a piece of 3"x5" x3/16" tube and some brackets .

All I really wanted or needed.

Holy thread revival. If he hasn't figured out a bumper in 4 years he never will.

Seriously doubt he cares anymore either way. Now lets let this zombie thread die again.
