Hello everyone. I just bought my first Tacoma. Its a 98 Trd v6. Its pretty much stock but I'm planning on putting a 3 inch lift on it for a little extra look since its daily driven. Not sure what tires ill be able to fit though or what setup to use. But I plan to look around. I'm familiar with honda civics but I've decided its time to get something a little more mature that I can haul a boat and jetski around too.

    Welcome to TW!
all the info you need about the lift and tires are here on the site, take a look at the suspension section, as well as the wheel/tire section. there should be more than enough info to answer your questions; but if not, post away!

Hey man, what are those bars on your bed used for? I saw some heading down to the beach and I was trying to figure it out.

I have a trac-rac on my bed- just a bed rack. Basically just lets you put stuff that's too long to fit into the bed on the racks, instead of hanging over the tailgate or through the cab.
I use mine for 1man canoes and surfboards.
(also, they look pretty cool. :spy: :D )

Yeah, it looks sweet. I figured it was something like that, it clears the roof too so that's pretty convenient. I love 1st gen tacomas. I'm going to pick mine up next weekend, and ill throw some pics up here or in a sig or something. Driving 6 hours just to get the one I want. Hard trucks to find around here that bodys haven't been beat to heck, or suspension messed with.

Thanks man. This trucks original owner is from Kentucky. Haha. It's with me in NC now. First truck/tacoma too. Figured it was a good start to break me in.
