My Local Off-Roading Club (Big Rubbers Custom 4x4 Club Inc.) has a Big Event planned for Sept. 9th, 10th & 11th. " Roasting on the Rocks" If you would like to join in on the fun, then please check our flyer on the websites homepage. (www.BigRubbers4x4.org) As of today (Aug 30th) we have about 25 members and 40 guests signed up. Usually by the event the guest list is double that. Should be a great turnout! We have parking area up top for trailers!

LOCATION: Doe Valley - 3222 Dark Shade Drive, Windber, Pa 15963

Hope to see some Tacoma World members here for lots of Fun, Food, Live Band and Camping! We have:
    Green trails (Stocker Friendly),
Blue Trails (32" tires or bigger, Locker recommended but not required) & Black Trails (35" tires or bigger & at least one Locker required)

Recommended equipment should include, but shall not be limited to: • ABC fire extinguisher • First aid kit • Tow strap • Tools • Spare tire • Axe • Shovel • CB radio, battery must be tied down. Spare parts, such as u-joints, axle shafts, drive lines and basic tune up parts are also recommended. Every rig should have recovery points in both the front and rear of the vehicle. Each member should have a thorough understanding of their vehicle, as well as being capable and prepared to repair their vehicle should the need arise.

Thanks, It takes me about 3-1/2 Hours driving east, northeast to get to RC. So you are correct, it would take well over 6 hours for you to drive here from CT. Funny, I was born in Bridgeport, but grew up in Massachusetts. Now I live in PA. My 4x4 Club is a State of PA, Non-Profit. I think it is the only 4x4 Club that has that status. All our events are to raise monies to go toward the few charities we support. Some of our Charity Events: Marines Toys for Tots, We charge a $20 fee or an unwrapped gift worth $20 to attend the TFT event. We also help the local police with thier toy drive for kids and we support a local food bank at Thanksgiving time we donated 100 Turkeys last year and 125 this year. Bought 2 electric generators for a local Volunteer Fire Dept. Well, I guess you get the idea. You are welcome to come check out our events anytime and bring some friends. I am the only 2nd gen Tacoma around here wheeling. I have seen a few FJ Cruisers, but it would be nice to have a few more Tacomas.

Okay, I had the only 2nd Gen Tacoma there, AGAIN! Still had a great time, but wish I could get some of you TW members out to these events. Our next charity event will be October 8th 2011. It's the Fall Turkey Crawl @ Doe Valley. Address is 3222 Dark Shade Drive, Windber, Pa 15963 I will post up our Fall Crawl flyer soon. If you can find the time to make it out for this event, you will have fun! We use the funds raised to buy Turkeys to give to the local Food Pantry.
Here are a few photos from last years delivery of 125 Turkeys:
