Ahh that explains how it could have come off. I think I will still add a bit of RTV in there just to help hold it and just tighten it snug. Just don't want to tear the inner fender well apart again any time soon. Thanks for the tip!

I am going to reach out to Garmin and see if they can help with the gauge as in my Google searches no one says anything about the readings being flawed on the gauges.

Hopefully after I get it back together my readings will be closer to what the Scan and Ultra gauges are getting. I will have some more faith in the device again if they are.

Please help I recently been trying to figure out my install and after reading everyones it seems they have a problem with the rubber cupling to to the snorkel the round end pointing down. Wells I been considering and used a dryer duct with duct tape along the endges to make it fit inside the round end. Will this work be water tight if I clamp it and seal it with RTV and will the Duct tape on the end catch on fire? Its in side the round end of in the fender where it conects to the plastic snorkel?

Ok, I'm a newbie with an 06 base, and I'm about to upgrade to a 2012. I had considered putting a snorkel on the 06. When I saw where the intake was I thought it could a problem, and the water wouldn't have to be all that deep if you had any speed. I gather everyone is in favor of the Safari. The last time I looked at their site they didn't have one for the 06-present. Any thoughts?

The snorkel that we have installed is a Hilux snorkel. They do not make a Tacoma specific one...
