ALLPRO BUMPER...where did you mount the winch Box?? Pics please!

    Hey guys,
    I have my new Allpro bumper and Warn winch. I was wondering where you guys are mounting the solenoid Box/remote plug? Any tips on problems encountered while installing the bumper or winch would be great!

    In the hood is cool, but do you really wanna open your hood everytime you gotta winch.


    Idk about you guys but I have alot of dumbass friends who need their own winches as they get stuck 2-3 times a night..so it'd be inconvenient for me hahaha.

    If there is room for lights behind your grill, there should be room for a solenoid box.

    You could also do it behind the bumper inside of it..

    ^^x2 opening the hood every time would get annoying, but if you were anticipating getting stuck you could plug in and then close the hood(if there was enough clearance). Idk how to mount it though, good luck with the install!:)

    i did it under my hood on the fender and wired the switch to my door in the cab

    You have your's constantly plugged in?

    Did you use an active toggle or a fixed position toggle? :confused:

    So after I posted I went out to the truck and there's a hole predrilled in the passenger side wing for the remote connector. I'm planning to drill the rivots out, mount the remote jammy in the hole, then find a way to mount the box inside the wing. I should be able to use the existing 2 gauge wires without extending them too.

    it aint that bad, its just everytime i get to a house and fire up the saw or get on the roof it starts rainin, when i get home n change shirts, its sunny.

    like i just went out to change a fuel filter, its as easy to replace as a 2nd gen 4.0 oil filter, by the time i had it off it dumped rain, by the time the new one was on, and i went in, it stopped

    Is it straight wired from the box to your toggle or did you use an extension to a port(so you can plug the toggle in and out whenever needed?) (I believe that's what MJonAg's did..:D)

    I like the idea of a smaller box. :D Did you simply splice and extend the connector wires for the remote when you ran it to the cab? Nice truck by the way. I'll checkout your build later tonight.
