'08 TRD OR 4x4 ACC $22,500 OTD with 4% financing:D had only 50 miles on it when I picked it up in September. I put $12,000 down, only $10,500 left.

I bought my 2009 DoubleCab 4wd SR5 Longbed on December 30, 2008 for $27,300 plus $850 of Virginia taxes and tags for a total of $28,150 out-the-door. I took the 0% Toyota financing otherwise it would have been $1000 cheaper. MSRP was $30,369 and dealer invoice was $27,902. No trade-in.

Color is Timberland Mica. Options are:
    DZ 6-CD Stereo
    AL 16" Alloy Wheels
    SL SR5 Package #2
    TO Towing Package
    CF Carpet Floor Mats

Not many local dealers had the long bed double cab SR5 model that I wanted, but I was able to find a few in the area. I did all of my dealing with the internet sales departments at the dealerships -- definitely the way to go.

Here in canada a 2009 Tacoma 4X4 Double Cab V6 auto long bed with the trd sport package lists for $35 980 CAN with a taxes etc, comes to $42 397 CAN.
We dont have the same amout of diffrent models that you guys have in the US. We only have 3 trims levels, base , SR5 and SR5 with TRD SPORT the latter being the top of line model without leather. Leather has only become available for the 2009 model and that pops the price up to $37 835 CAN and $44 495 CAN all in. Now this is even cheeper than what a 2006 model was about $3000 more before taxes as the dropped the prices when the canadian dollar gained against the US.

Now i just picked up (from the stealer) a 2008 4x4 double cab V6 with the TRD SPORT package with 8000 km (5000 miles) on it for $29100 CAN plus taxes= $33500 CAN, as a bonus the previous owner had remouved the bf goodrich and put on a set of goodyear wrangler MTR's on that list for 360$ each canadian. It was a hell of a deal for canada.
Using a fund calculator that would be aprox. $25 087 US and $28881 US taxes in .
A new 2009 4 door 4x4 trd sport auto long bed converted comes out to $31 118 US and $36 500 US.
I installed the toyota aluminium side steps, and got the 3m clear sheild on the hood, next up is a tonneau cover.

Now i talked to the previous owner and he had always had full size pickups, he bought this last aug at the height of gas prices and figured he would save, then the price of gas dropped and this truck ain't that cheep on gas anyway so he traded it in for the new full size dodge ram, both the toyota and the dodge dealership are owned by the same guy.

I had just sold my 1996 extended cab 4x4 ,2.7l, it was a the rare model with factory alloys ABS and sunroof, it had 60000 KM on it and was pristine shape, my buddy was bugging me for it and offerd me $12 000 CAN so i jumped on it.

I was holding out for a 2009 model with the stabily control, rear view camera etc, but this deal was too good to pass on.

Here in canada there is no discounts or 0% financing yet, thats what i was holding off for, since i drive a company truck and my wife has her car I only use my truck on weekends and to tow my 19' boat.

here is a link to give you guys down south an idea what canadian prices are like:

seems like you guys get your tacomas pretty cheep. here in canada they don't give them away at all. i tried to buy a used one and the dealers laughed at me. so i had to buy a brand new one. they would not deal on them, the ticket price only. they new they were selling the best mid size truck out there.
so i picked up a brand new 2009 double cab trd sport for $44,000 total price with taxes.

Yeah they don't seem to have many on the lot up here, and good luck trying to get any kind of deal from a stealer, although that might change later on this year, there seems to be a bit of a shotage since they bought out a lot of the gen 1 with the bad frames and guys all went out and bought new ones, it's the good old supply and demand that dictates prices.
I thought I would have to buy a new one since used ones are very rare, I lucked out though ; was going to costco to get some chicken wing and I happenned to drive in the staler lot next door and they had just put it on the lot that same morning so I gave him a offer right on the spot and they took it. Didnt get a chance to get the chicken wings lol

Your located in pembroke, right. I seen you at east end tim hortons. I have the same truck. there is about 3 or 4 trucks like this in the area. I keep looking, or the wife says staring at other trucks like mine. I can't help it, they are such a nice looking truck. I must have had a couple hundred people saying wow nice looking truck. It startes to get bothersome some time.

What many people are missing here is whether you traded something in or not. If you got screwed on your trade in and then you post your "rockin' deal" that you got on your Taco, we are only seeing half of the story!!! I would think the majority of people traded somethig in. SO this thread is worthless without posting your trade in numbers.

Picked up my 06 DoubleCab SB 4x4 with AT and 36k on it about a month ago for 18,500 then I bought an ext warranty for another 1K so I guess you would say 19,500. I had no trade in, but where I really saved was not having to pay sales tax because I just came back from Iraq and I was in a no-sales-tax window. Paid $40.29 for tags and registration.

Mine was a cash deal, no trade. I did all of my shopping on line so I only spent about an hour and a half at the dealer.
