That's kind of different though. He is probably on one of the squads that go wherever they are needed. I was referring to the in state squads (forest service local squads) going to different states to fight fire. I would agree and say that it is needed as well as a good idea. Guys don't get paid when they are sitting idle in their home state

The smoke isn't as bad as it was this morning. Not sure if that';s a good or bad thing. I work 25 mins from my house so I'm not positive how things are going....

[IMG] Not to step on any toe's, but if anyone in the Houston area wants Dash/door or console LED's and are a bit nervous about attacking it I can do them. You pick the colors and I have the tools. Doing a dash is like casterating a flea. Only harder. Let me know ....questions or work. ThanX

    8 minutes from my house

    Updated Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 3:24 p.m. CDT
Smith County fire marshals are responding to Bullard where a large fire is picking up steam. The blaze is located in the area off County Roads 119 and 113 near Kiepersol Estates, prompting the evacuation of about eight homes.

The Texas Forest Service has just arrived at the location and officials are using bulldozers to create a fire break.

Firefighters are attempting to contain the blaze, which is fueled by winds and drought-stricken vegetation.

My neighbor just drove by there and said it looks real bad...

I'm well out of the evac zone, and it would have to jump 10-20 roads to get to me, but it's just scary that there are new ones popping up even today.

Not too good the fire I posted earlier is getting bigger and threatening houses. I shot some pics to live of my drive home from work. I'm packing some things up now just to be safe.

I'm assuming the solid axle is now going on before the 4Runner goes wheeling?
