I'm thinking the same thing...Raptor or a Tundra. Don't get me wrong....love my Tacoma......but the gas mileage that V6 gets....I can get better with a V8 and have a full size truck and a lot more ammenities.

Stick with the Toyota hands down. I have friends that are shop foreman for several Ford dealerships and they even tell me that Raptor is junk, way over priced and doesn't hold its value. But whatever makes you happy is what is say...

I have a Raptor and a Taco, honestly you will absolutely love the Raptor!! I have a 2010 6.2L and I get 8 MPG!!!! So do not buy it if it's you're daily driver. But that being said, there is no comparison what so ever the Raptor of course just has so many more features and is set up right outta the gate. But for $50k, it better be! Hope this helps, coming from someone who owns both right now.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I used to have on my Tacoma. It was a grenade labeled Ford repair kit.

they charge a pretty penny for it but you can get it on most of them now, just has to be a pretty loaded truck that is sweet the only thing that kept me from buying one was not wanting that loaded of truck its just a truck for my business that others drive more than me. the least expensive i found with the 6.2 was like 49000 i got the tundra for like 36k

I think my dad got his 07 F-150 with the 5.4 for 33k ish. His is a Supercrew 4x4 XLT I can't believe how expensive trucks are these days. To be perfectly honest, luxury trucks are pointless IMO.

yeah there were plenty of f-150s i could have had for less than the tundra but without the 6.2 the perfomance just wasnt close to the tundra 5.7 and toyota had 0% so that was kind of a deal maker. ford doesnt offer incentivised rates on a business only loan unless you do a personal gaurantee.

I would stack the Ecoboost against the 5.7 any day. A little more torque and a little less horsepower. Ford probably won't deal on the F-150s very well for another year or two because of the new engines.

 When a V6 puts that much power to the ground that efficiently, it makes me wish I had a need for that much power and the 30K plus to get it:cool:

Why do people always come to tacomaworld.com to ask about trading in their Tacoma for another brand truck. All it ever does is start a damn pissing contest. OP, do you not know someone who you can talk to not on the internet that can provide guidance. Not to be an ass but 200 threads of people posting the same question with the same answers, Ford sucks get/keep a Tacoma. Go to a Ford site and post the question there. Once you have all the results tabulated from the two sites tell us what percentage of Tacoma owners told you to keep your Tacoma and percentage of Ford owners told you to get a Ford. Then after that try researching minus a poll of a fan message board.

For the amount of money Ford wants for the Raptor, I would get an F-250.

    Diesel FTW.
