Sliders and labor. A guy named Loren makes them out of his garage as a side job.

Can I get his info? Sliders are my next mod and I would love to talk to him. Are you satisfied with the whole ordeal?

His name is Loren 303-204-3091. I am satisfied for the most part. Only thing is I asked for the kick out which he forgot so he kind of cut me a deal. (300-320 is what it should have costed) I bought the primer and paint. Solid weld work and perfectly even otherwise.

Brian how did your truck run?

Mike, The truck ran great. Drove it to and from the trail with no problem. The truck handled the rocks with ease. I was able to get over everything I tried. Teetered in a couple spots but not close to going over. Couple things to improve on the truck but overall I am happy with its ability. Check out my build thread.

I might hit this guy up for sliders on my 84.

Anyone know of a cheep body work guy? I suck with bondo and want to clean up the drivers side a bit from the previous owners fuck-ups.

Any of you use DAC? I used it for the first time this weekend and was wondering if the noises it was making was the breaks being applied to each wheel to stop slipping when descending? I only used it for a little bit of the trail and then just kept the truck in 4LOW and L gear to slow the truck down without using any breaks. Just curious, any thoughts are appreciated

Yea that noise is normal. I hate using it, makes me feel like I have no control. Mine is automatic and kicks in if I take a corner too fast.

    Sweet!

Thanks, figured it was normal but its funky hearing those kinda noises coming from the truck. It was awkward to use at first cause i wanted to keep pressing the break, which basically turns off DAC. Once i got used to it basically crawling the truck downhill i loved it. i dont see a need to use it except for very steep rocky sections though

Mine does it when it thinks the tires slip... then applies the break. I have a manual though so maybe they work different? I dunno..

So I have $660 dollars, what should I do with it?

Just received front weathertech's from Cabelas waiting for the rear.

I want to tint front windows to at least match rear windows or go darker on both...not sure.

Keep saving so i can get a bumper I don't have to worry about anyone scraping up?

    New Headlights?

    Sliders...

Haven't done any four wheeling but want to get into it!

If you tint the front 2 windows to 20 percent it should match perfectly, i went with 27 percent up front to stay legal and i cant tell a difference between the fronts and rears. That will run you around $130.
