Make em pay triple the health insurance cost that we healthy people do, and your right tax the fuck out of the fast food places.

We have a Dr. that I work with that is obese. She asked me and a friend to come over and put a treadmill together for her. We thought "wow" she is actually gonna work out. After assembling the treadmill we find out its true purpose. Come to find out the treadmill is for her dog to run on so she doesn't have to leave the house. WTF!!! How are you a Dr???

^That's what I always thought. And make it so that you have to get a license to buy cigarettes. When you do you forfit any claims to mouth, lip, throat and lung cancer. Sorry, you wasted how many thousands of dollars on a cancer causing product for how many years? Pay for the cure to the disease you caused to yourself.

There is a guy I work with that is so abnormally large that he recently had double knee replacement and after he had the operation he blew out his knee cap. This guy is so huge he woddles around. He is always sweaty no matter what temp it is outside. You would think that they would've said how about we give you some lipo so yu dont keep going thru the space knees. Also you would think that after 6 months of recovery the guy would lose a little weight, but no he is still 400 lbs...

Liposuction is just a band-aid anyway - if you don't take care of yourself, it will just come back.

    neglect, mostly.
well the tobacco products already have warnings and shit all over them so a lot of the liability goes to the consumer. tobacco generates much more profit than loss. money wise, not health wise note you. in regards to it's effect on healthcare, it's taxed so high just for that reason. . . . as for people that don't have to suck on the government teet, they've payed insurance every month like the others, let em file for whatever.

I used to PT one of my overweight friends. Got him to the track every other day to put in a few miles, made him do crossfit-style workouts paired with light weight rep training...but his weight didnt change over 3 months...

then I learned he would just go to a local restaurant after ever workout and order a "Sumo Omelet" , which probably has around 1200-1300 calories, then go home and eat some more. I was not a happy camper.

IMO It's the mindset and the lifestyle that gets people.

    Bypasses are not guaranteed, though.

In the end, it's a mental thing. If they really care about making a change, they can make the change on their own without any medical intervention. If they don't want to make the change, and they get some form of surgery, the problem is still there...it may just manifest itself in a different way.

Also, in the end, it is not solely the excess fat that will harm them, regardless of whether you are 180lbs and have a great metabolism, you can still form health problems from eating junk.
