Can anyone tell me the best way to install rack and rails? Want it to be solid, and really don't know what the best method is?
    Thanx!!!

Aluminum boat, and most likely to tie gear using rails!

I have an aluminum headache rack that mounts to feet that sit on the top of the bedsides and secures with T-bolts into the bedrail system , I have carried lots of lumber and timbers up to 20'

    I'll post up a pic

Do you have a rack already ?

Yes, just got one today! Rails need to be modified though. Pics would be great.

Similar, only it sits flat on the top rail. No side flange for utilizing tie down rails? Don't know if drilling into the top of the box rail is an option?

You may need to weld a bracket on or use API clamps...

You would be better off improving the feet to wrap around and mount like mine rather than rely on a top bolt into the sheet metal and plastic that is the bedside top

    No problem .

Just so you are aware , this is what the bed tops look like with the cap removed , not much to attach to there .
