Staking lifts??? whaaa? help please

    Ok,

    I have 5100's at the highest perch. Want to add another inch or so up front leaving the rear. Please just tell me if this would work. if not why and what would work.

    Bilstein 5100 set at 2.5

    Add a differential drop and a 1-2 spacer on the top of the coil.

    Its an 2011 TRD Off RD Access Cab

    Your CV angles will be BAD! if you stack lifts if you want to go higher you need to do a drop bracket lift or a body lift. You could do a 1" body lift but I wouldn't go any higher then that but that's really not going to level you out.

    Stacking lifts isn't a great idea. If you need a taller lift, get a taller lift but I wouldn't add a top plate spacer on top of compressing the coils for more lift.

    Gotcha, thanks for your input.

    Ok so if i just do a pro comp or fabtech 3" lift on the front what else will i need to go with that to make sure things are stressed too much.

    You can put the 1/4" top plate spacer on the 5100's to get a full 3's of lift you don't need to buy a Pro crap 3" lift.

    awww man.. why all the hate on pro comp? Haha. I have the pro comp full 3" kit and I love It. no bro lean for me (I hate it as well) new shocks all around, add a leaf, and new coils. Sits nice. Performs great. Just need to throw on my top plate for the taco lean.

    Let's say (hypothetically) that his truck was a PreRunner..... :D The answer would be different, yes? (Sorry for the thread jack...... :eek:) I understand you have to worry about ball joint angles and down travel and such..... but no CVs = ok to stack lifts? What's the highest you could go with it still being a functional suspension?
