Ok, so I have the new DNX5120 and I have to say I absolutely LOVE this HU :bananadance: That being said, the instruction manual is about the most useless piece of crap I have ever read and there are a couple things I cannot figure out that I need help with:

    1) How do you turn down the Navigation "Voice" volume...I just cannot figure this one out.:confused:

    2) When the "Nav Interrupt Screen" appears when your listening to say the Tuner - it is in the lower part of the screen (even after you stop any Nav operations), How do you get rid of that screen? It gets annoying because it blocks function buttons and when you touch it, it brings you back to the nav screen.

    ANy help would be great!!!!

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
If it's like the 8120, Navi voice should be under Setup > AV Interface (3rd screen in that section)

I dunno... that's what google gave me... :D

Case closed....thanks to delmarva and tacoma08mx, I found and fixed both issues! I was not aware of the additional screens in the set up menus and I swear that manual is goofy (or maybe I am, LOL):D

So any ideas why it wont let me change the background. I have the thumbdrive pluged into the usb, and the jpg image is in a folder called kenwood. In the usb source screen i can go to the jpg image but it wont let me click it to view it.????

I'm in the same or similar boat. I put a jpeg picture on my flash drive, plugged it in and my HU doesn't even recognize that its plugged in. I tried turning the ignition off then on but still nothing (thats what worked when it didn't recognize my ipod). Do you have to put it in a folder?
As for your situation i believe it says on page sixty-something of the manual at the bottom in really small lettering that you can't have the USB selected as your source when you change background. I took that to mean that you have to be listing to another source then go into the file and change the background. hope that helps.

when i updated my firmware on my 8120 I had to delete every thing else on my usb stick inorder for it to recognize the new software. Maybe you should try and load your usb with ONLY the pics. I have not tried it but maybe??????? Just copy everything to a randon folder on your desktop and have only the pics when you plug in to usb. Not sure but worth a try

Thanks Kris, I did finally find in the manual last night about not selecting the usb source, from what I have read you do have to have the jpg image in a folder for it to recognize it.

yes that make sense, I'll try that when i get some time.

Did you install the HU or did a shop? If a shop I would take it back to them to figure out. Maybe try a different USB stick????

no not yet. I couldn't find another flash drive. I don't think that is the problem, the flash drive is perfectly good and it works for everything else.
