They'll be the red headed step child of the family. And they'll get smacked around harder than any other too. There is enough maroon in the SEC. They should butt their way out of where they don't belong IMO. I have to put up with Aggie shit every where I go around here. Pisses me off on how awesome they think they are.

this, folks, is a true fan

I know those feelings all too well...i've been going to Clemson games since I was born (didnt miss a home game till jr/sr years in hs) and i'm 28 now...i was born a year shy of Clemson's national championship season

with that being said...i will sit in the stadium from kickoff till the final second ticks off the clock...I've sat thru brutal 50+ point shellackings in monsoon like rain...got to witness Georgia stomp a mudhole into the tigers in 100* heat...

far too many ugly things have i witnessed...including the national news level fight between clemson/carolina a few years back that involved a player kicking another player in the head...

maybe one day my loyalty will be rewarded!

Missouri is a southern state. Texas is a southern state. West Virginia is a yankee state. West Virginia was created because they did not want to secede with Virginia.

Missouri is "south eastern" in places. The boot heel and southern Missouri notably. But really the geography doesn't mean shit now. TCU is going into the Big (L)east. It's all about revenue and television markets. 16 team conferences are gonna be the norm at some point I think. If the SEC picks up aggie, missou, then 2 outta the east like va tech and fsu, they'll position themselves to continue as the dominant conference.

With teams like Colorado and possibly Texas/Oklahoma/TTech in the PAC 12, geography means nothing to conferences anymore.

Missouri is the very outer edge of what I'd call the South East... if you stretch South East as far as it'll stretch, but it wouldn't bother me a lot to have a team that far away in the conference. I wouldn't make many road trips up there, though. Texas schools fit in fine, IMO, as do schools on the East coast as far north as Virginia.

Sounds as if you, also, are a true fan. I've watched a many of games, mostly at Jordan-Hare, and when I see the field for the first time, on game day, it makes the hair stand up on my neck.. If that ever stops, I guess I have no business there any longer.

Hear...hear!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, that going to the SEC will only make VT a better team. If only the athletic directors and Beamer will see it that way....

Our turnovers cost us dearly but that's football. You guys got a tough road ahead and good luck to you guys too. It is an Honor to play big teams like LSU.

Amen brutha! I have been a season ticket holder for a long long long time. I gave em up this year though due to a baby on the way. Little shit machines are spendy. I belong to the UofO Duck Board and all kinds of other shit. I can get tix thru friends and members for games in the future. The 55" LCD does good for games also!!

I sat in Autzen since I was 5 months old right up till this Saturday and beyond until kiddo is born......thru wind, torrential downpours, ice, snow, you name it. We stayed from kickoff till the final buzzer even when it was 42-10 and we got our asses handed to us. I've never lived farther than 15 miles from Autzen stadium or campus. I've had numerous friends and family go to UofO, blah blah blah.

We were shitty for decades and now we are 1 of the PAC12 front runners. COME ON ROSE BOWL!!...........and yeah....loyalty will be rewarded..

it's easy for me to not be a chicken fan...and i live in Columbia :p

oh God yes! Except I feel that no matter what game I go to in whichever stadium I sit in...including games that don't involve Clemson in any way...which lately have been UGA games

Force? Really? so when did a unanimous vote turn into force? Are you a fan of the BCS? because if not this is what has to happen to get to a playoff system.

Great....we're on the front page of CFB ESPN.....due to our bonehead QB. Hopefully he throws the ball this season as well as he gets in trouble in the off season. :D

I don't consider Missou Southeastern at all. Not only their location, but their style of football. Just doesn't seem very SEC to me. At least bring in a national power. All they're doing is weakening the SEC.

You didn't get an invitation the first time you asked for it. You obviousuly weren't wanted too badly. So you stick out your bottom lip and leave your conference anyway because you don't like ESPNs preferential treatment for Texas. Now, you get what you want. Except Baylor is thinking about legal action against you since you're leaving. Again, all they're doing is weakening the SEC. But hey, at least SEC teams have a better channel for Texas recruiting.

    2011-2011 standings?!!!!
When was the last time your dawgs won a NC in anything?
and as far as the no invitation goes if you don't understand the legal reasons behind that then you need to do some research.
