I only said that parts of shoecreek were closed because a couple guys that i know live up that way. They had said a couple of the spots got purchased and were being closed down. I have never been to shoecreek so I can not say one way or the other if any signs were put up. I was just putting it out for you guys. Apparently that info was wrong, my bad.
Crozet is not the only legal wheeling spot in VA, it is 1 of a few places that is members only, unless an open invite has been put out. The areas that i believe yall were talking about by Oceana Airbase (maybe im wrong) are Gov't property. I useto live right down the street from there and have seen many a Gov't Property signs stating such. The other area over by Oceana that people useto go play at, behind Harpers square apartments, the last time I drove by there had a big as fence with a no trespassing sign on it. Im just letting yall know my sources, some of which are local cops, say the only legal wheelin spot in Hampton Roads is behind Starr Motors (Jeep Dealership in Suffolk) when they have a wheelin event. When people are in areas that they are not suppose to be in. IF the cops really want to they can write tickets or impound peoples' trucks/jeeps/whatever they want. They may not always exercise that, but it is possible if they really want to. Also the areas do not actually have to marked, if the land owner calls while people are out and reports them they can get tickets etc. Either way, not trying to be the fun police or anything. BUT options are like assholes everyone has one, some people keep them to themselves others don't, and sometimes not everyone agrees with what is coming out.
