6-Speed

Hey all,
I drive an automatic & love the truck, other then the damn ticking noise the V-6 makes but I'm curious as to how the 6-speed manual does as far as smooth shifting , reliablility etc. My AUTO does some weird crap as far as shifting once I've come to a stop (really strange). I have heard others talk about that so not sure if it's normal or if I should take it in. I have always loved manual vehicles and would consider going back to one in the future if I came across the right deal. Mine only has 73K miles on it so still very young but if I see a newer model with Manual, ya never know!

 

I love my 6 speed, some don't. I wouldn't have gone any other way. I can cruise up the mountains between Flagstaff and Phoenix in 6th gear w/ cruise no problem.

 

I like the 6mt alot no problems with it.

 

the manual is pretty hard to drive smoothly, but still worlds more satisfying than an auto. 1st gear is really short so you find yourself shifting halfway through an intersection. i like the feel of the shifter. it's a long throw but moves smoothly.

 

I like my 6spd, 75k+ on it no issues. First gear is short but its good offroad. Just wish it got the mpg the auto does. But then again its a truck so fuck it.
