    i know nelsonmatt has had a crappy experience with general grabbers in the sand, anyone else have a review about them in the sand? i have two pro comp muds as my spares and wondering which tire would do better at pismo...

    the grabbers are far from a "smooth" tire... they have large, aggressive lugs...just like mud tires

    i have 2 worn out BFG all terrains that i'm going to throw on the back of my truck when we get there...

    nice, the grabbers are soo damn heavy, the 35s are 80lbs a piece+probably 15-20 for the rims, i know my spares are 25lbs each soo like 100lbs on each corner! is 80 pounds normal for a 35" tire? im not sure how much the other tires weigh soo...

    I towed this out with Pro Comp Xtreme M/T's at 10 psi. Got all the way to where I parked it before I realized I never put the truck in 4wd :facepalm:

    yeah i know there not "smooth" i was just thinking they are smoother since they are a very basic squared 4 lug which has a smoother feel and line to them then the jagged, sharp, hard cut lines that the muds have. the grabbers have more of an AT feel to them then the pro comp muds which are obviously pure muds and made to dig. AT's usually always perform better in the sand because they dont dig as much and cover more surface area.
