I rescued this tomcat from the pound about 6 months ago. They named him Napoli, so we call him that, or Tigger (if he is in a really bouncy mood) or Hey Cat, or Steve, or Jackass. About 1 1/2 years old, I think. A loveable punk.

He spends most of his time outside (he goes nuts otherwise), but hangs with us whenever he can. He is usually on the porch waiting for us when we get home. Very independent, yet very social, and very playful. I think he takes after Ben, because he spends half his time with a paper bag over his head.

If I am at the computer and he wants attention, he will walk up behind me and reach up and tap the back of my shoulder while I am sitting in the chair. Then he will flop down like a ton of bricks and assume the postion for wrestling. He'll latch onto my arm and bite and claw and kick (gently) while purring the whole time. Sometimes I'll mop the hardwood floors with him while he is latched onto my arm, because I like multitasking. If he gets a little too aggressive, I tell him No and he disengages and jumps away immediately. He likes to sneak attrack us and wrap his paws around our legs as we walk by like he is going to take us down, but doesn't use his claws. It makes me feel like a water buffalo on the Serengeti.

This dude has serious reach. He can jump to the top of a 6-foot fence easily, and if I go out in the yeard and call him, he will show up within 5 minutes. On the weekends, he'll follow me around and hang out all day as I work on the house. he'll even chase and wrestle tennis ball on the lawn.

    Kevin:
Just make sure the cat comes to you when you first play with him. That is the easiest way to tell that the cat will be a people cat and not one that will run and hide when someone comes over.

I have to ask tradesmen if they want me to put the cat in a locked room because he will be in your toolbox.

If all three of us are in one room within five minutes Amigo will be in the room to see what is going on.

We are blessed with neighbors that love to have Amigo when we go on vacation. They feel that they are too old to have another cat and it is Amigo's second home.

I have had dogs before and Amigo is my first cat. To tell the truth I would be hard pressed to have another dog.

    Brock:
I wish Amigo was a garage cat. I may have to try that out this winter.

    My bud Amigo!

I have 2 cats, and 2 dogs. The cool cat is part bengal(look them up) and he is a terrorist. But he loves the water and plays fetch so he is pretty cool. He also hunts the dogs down and attacks them. The 2yo black lab just takes it, but the german short hair puppy doesnt know what to think yet so he bolts while yelping as the cat chases him around the house. The other cat is a pain, and wants to be in youre face all the time. I used to not be a cat person, but the bengal changed my mind. He is awesome, and was a SPCA rescue.

You are going to tell me that I don't have respect for Airborne soldiers? What's the number on your jumplog? 93 for me.
I've fought in Panama, Haiti, and 2 tours in Iraq. I don't need to hear your piss-ant remarks. If an old man has a cat, what do I care. The original poster here isn't an old man, so I flipped him shit. He asked what people thought about him owning a cat, I answered. Sorry that you and Oz were butthurt about it. I guess if somebody makes a comment that some canadians don't like, you should call that person a troll and alert the admins right away.
WW2 was hard, really hard, my grandfather was a forward observer in the 2nd ID and we talk about the war a lot. My dad was in the 173rd Airborne in Vietnam. Making this a 'you don't respect airborne soldiers' bit is idiotic. I don't respect you, and your dirt slinging, little man.

...and you clearly missed my point, which doesn't surprise me, and it isn't worth wasting my time trying to explain it to you. Go back and read your original post. Then google "irony." Then try a little harder. Good day.

Only on tw.com, a innocent-kind-wonderful thread about cute little kitty cats can turn into a massive argument fight....lol.

And for the record, I like cats. I think they're great, and dogs too.

However much your record is impressive, theyre not talking about your disrespect of the Airborne. Rather, you just calling everyone who likes cats homo does not earn you any kudos in a cat enthusiast's thread. If you have such a negative view on the subject, next time, just move on. :)

See, even a pineapple-eater can figure it out, so it can't be too hard.

That makes you super-extra-special-not-gay. Maybe that qualifies you for some jungle-lovin from Bob. Oh, but then that would be gay.
