Any issues related to that? Ride, noise, speedometer, etc?

You should always do the chalk test to determine the proper PSI for the tire you are running.

I run the BFG AT's at 265/75/16 and using the chalk test 36psi all around is about right for me...

I have had lots of success with my Nitto TG's. Going on 42K on the tires and 71K on the truck. No problems here. But I will be replacing them soon because I did not rotate them enough.

    Related question.

In the market too. Have the stock dunlop at20 (p245/75/16).

Was looking to go more agressive goodyear wrangler duratrac LT245/75/16. I know they would be a bit more expensive than P sized at tires but like the performace reviews and the look.

My problem is the guy at the tire place (mavis) said "You don't want those, your truck will drive like a Sherman Tank"

Is the ride too harsh going to LT tires on our trucks?

I'm leasing so I need to keep this a secret.
Am I missing somehting here? What is wrong with a sherman tank tacoma?
They are good tires that take a long time to wear out... I have a similar commute and that is why I went with the BFG AT over any other MT style tire. I can go offroad with a stong sidewall but it will last for my commute in all weather conditions.

Try and get the Duratracs in a "C" load range. It'll be stronger than a P-metric tire but still ride pretty good.

    Thanks.

    C range was my plan.

The Mavis guy was in a city location, maybe used to street riders more than trucks.

Do I need to pick a specific load range if I go with the Terra Grapplers?

Won't be towing or hauling a lot of heavy loads with the exception of the occasional run to the city dump
