Hello, I have a 03 v6 double cab Tacoma with 80K miles. This truck has been pampered for 7 years. all of the sudden the SRS light came on today. I've read some others post mention about the connection under the seat but I did not see anything under the seat. Can anyone here know how to reset it. Thanks in advance.

With something this important, I'd go to the dealer.

Have you recently done any electrical or body work?? Any interior stuff??
If you have not- It is entirely possible that (after 7 years) you just have a sensor that has gone bad.
If you've looked for plugs under the seats, you can pull a wiring diagram/FSM and try to find where the other sensors are and see if there are any obvious problems...but with out the computer it's hard to diagnose something like this. Dealerships are equipped for it.

    King shocks!
Same happened to me about a month ago. I took it to toyota, plugged the computer in and a coil in the airbag on the steering wheel came disconected. Costed me 430 bucks to fix it

Well. I took it to a dealer today for diagnostic ($105.00). They told me have to replace the air bag assy sensor first and it will cost me total price part and labor for $834.50. After that if the light still on they will check something else and it will cost more. I really think that is a ridiculous just for the airbag light. it will not effect the performance of the truck or anything else except the airbag won't deploy. what do you guys think? please give me advice if you know the way around it.
    Thanks

I would replace clock spring in steering wheel first. Cheap and easy, in 99% of cases this is it.

here is the link to FSM that has check for that thing, FSM says "spiral cable" and component view Its most likely to fail due to abuse it takes. This is the only wearable part in SRS system.
    Good luck

Definitely, at least you can inspect by yourself. Just make sure you disconnect battery first and give 20 minute pause before you are unbolting the steering wheel with airbag (that allows all the capacitors in electronics to loose charge)

Thanks Blue T. I found the part but nobody has a picture of the part so I can look at . Does it look like a cake or something per PDF file? and it's over $200. How do I know it bad or good?

Take a look at fsm there are troubleshooting steps for that spiral cable. In short what you need to check is electrical continuity. Between plugs on that cable. Remove it first inspect

Do you know if once the clockspring repair is made and installed if the airbag will turn of --or do you need the trouble code reset by a computer??

    Thanks-

Thought I would answer my own question----The Air bag light will go out on its own after the repair is made.
