anyone elses truck kinda chatter when slowing down?

    Just recently got this truck it has Goodyear Mt's on it not sure if its the tires or what but when i slow down going like 10 or under it chatters a little bit kinda like it has huge knobbie tires or something... not sure if its from the tires or another Tacoma things that happen like the clunk?

    its a auto and its gear when slowing down. hard to explain i think it might be a bad trans mount

    ya whatever it is its weird somewhere in the drivetrain... I am going to start by flipping the block the right way on one side... guy i got it from had one side with the tapered to the front and the other to the back lol then i am going to start replacing stuff trans mount, u-joints etc

    mines does the same exact thing, just replaced the u-joints and carrier bearing last night, no luck there.

    glad im not the only one lol guess its another yota thing.. lol this thing rides worst than my lifted silverado with the torsion bars cranked on 37s lol but i love it all the same

    same here my 89 chevy with 38" thornbirds rode smoother cold after sitting for a week (they would flatspot from sitting cause they're non-radial)

    He asked a VERY GOOD QUESTION......;)

    BIG difference from "feeling" and "hearing".....way to many "options" here...45-60, 10-15 Shops make a killing on these "Symptons"....:confused:

    Bigger tires on old brakes.yeee-haaaa then oh $hit.....:rolleyes: even just going MTR's over AT's let us try to "Work" one truck at a time...

    Mine are ATs but it did the same thing when it was stock with stock tires

    its not in the break pedal or wheel its like coming frmo the whole truck but just the back end of it weird i know... but only from like 12-0mph

    What's the specs on your truck? Year, mileage, last maintenance/fluid changes?

    I have 'knobby' tires and don't have any chatter. I would suggest maybe greasing the driveline and changing out the tranny fluid to start.

    its a 2000 prerunner 2.7 sittin on 305/70/17 with 3 inch bl and coil spacers tranny fluid was just changed 20,000 ago so its not that oil is up to date i think it is the driveline im gonna pull the yoke out and grease it along with a new transmission mount prob some u-joints and carrier bearing
