Is it possible?

Is it possible to pull the dash out and put a standard factory clock in the spot beside the key hole if it didn't come with one? I figured it would still have the connectors regardless

 

The factory clock is kinda worthless in that location, I wouldn't even bother if I were you.

 

It is in a awkward place but is it possible if I feel like tinkering with something

 

if you want you can try... but have you ever pulled a dash? i havent. but i know it is a PAIN IN THE ASS!

BTW the dash IS a pain in the butt to pull out. I found a little pictorial post on how to take it off when I was putting LEDs in my dash. Gaining access to the clock isn't bad, but hope you don't have to follow any wires lol.

Who ever made the post must of had Toyotas special 4 bolt puzzle dash because mine SUUUUCKED. At least my dash looks sweet now lol.

My dash wasnt hard to pull out just a few bolts and the radio and its all done

you don't have to take out the dash at all, really. just drop the panel under the steering wheel and then you can snap out the ignition ring and clock bezel piece. the wiring harness hookup for the oem clock should be right there behind it.

The das is a pain in the ass! you have to remove all kinds of weird screws to get it out! who woulda thought I had to take off my antenae and remove a nut from the rear axle to get the dash off??

 

What did you have to do in the process of changing your dash cluster from red to white? I know new LEDs but I thought on the tax and speed had a red film on them or am I wrong?

 

What kinda "weird" screws are you all talking about?? All I needed to take mine out was a 10mm socket and a phillips screw driver.

 

No film that I know of Just swap out for some LED's and your set. SERIOUSLY though I have done mine 3 times already one time at about 11 at night with only the interior light to see with lol!! Trust me it is not hard at all!! It will take you 15-20min tops from start to finish.
