    :thumbsup: Ive seen them and your one lucky sob for finding a cap that fits easy. TC's balls are a little harder. Hell I probably have caps that would fit yours I bought and aren't deep enough for mine. Next time I go shopping for parts Ill bring my old uniball and bolt so I know they will fit when articulated.

    Hey Boyd weren't you having some rubbing issues with your uca's? I'm playing with the idea of getting on the icon gb thru wheelers or the fox gb thru dsm. I guess I would finally need new uca's if I decide to go this route. I'm thinking either camburg or dsm.
    Anything I should know?

    Fox rust and pit to shit in a couple years. I think Kevin and Mike are running them so they could comment better.

    I'm not rubbing anything, but with your spacers you will need to trim the fender and remove the front mudflap, and most likely will need to chop the cab mount if you got with Total Chaos. If you go with LR you will be fine as they offer more adjustment.

    After reading that article I think digressive would suit my needs most completely. Better on road and high speed washboard/pothole type driving, not as good of a rock crawler, but that's definitely no the majority of my driving.

    So I'm sold on icons.. (which is a relief because that's what i originally wanted).

    Now as far as uca's sounds like tc will cause me more trouble and more money than if I go for something else, such as dsm or lr

    What are you guys running for springs n the rear? Just an aal? I'm thinking I should get a new leaf pack and extended ss brake lines while I'm at it.

    Wheelers 3 leaf progressive aal for me. Much smother then a single aal. I'm running 5100's in the rear, but we already spoke about how they suck.

    Sooo much money! It's either I redo my suspension to the way I want it, or I go to chile for a summer snowboard trip. Guess I know what to do if my friends bail on the trip..

    Screw the truck....go to Chile. Your only young once and you can still drive when your old and decrepit...snowboarding in that state...............not so much.

    So Ive had the stainless balls in for 6 months now and they are great. I recently took out my UCA's for a good cleaning of the bushings and surprisingly the bushings showed very little wear for having almost 30k on them now. I have used Mobil-1 synthetic grease on them from day 1 and all parts were lubed with it before installation. The balls still look great and have zero play in them. I have used Tri-Lube from Wheelers on them since the beginning and that stuff is great for wet muddy areas. The hard waxy surface keeps the crap out very nicely.

    When I took my UCAs apart I couldn't hit the uniball out? I used a mallet hitting downward, then upward, no budge. Any tips? I have to eventually take them out when my stainless uniballs come in.

    Did you remove the spring clip? The get pressed out from the top to the bottom then pressed in from the bottom to the top.

    Here's how I did it.

    Try removing them while still attached to the UCA mounts. I just disconnected my spindle and hit mine out with a mattet, but if you need to you could press them out with washers and all-thread or press them out with a BJ press with the right adapters.

    I think Oswego had that issue in another one of his threads too. Probably reshuffling of pics wherever he's hosting the pics. That or the mods are F'n with him
