Hey everyone, been awhile since I've been on.
My truck runs great... Thinking about getting a supercharger on it. Anyone have the specs, anyone have one and if so... Any problems with the supercharger?

    Thanks!

Hey I had one on my 04 double cab when I still had the truck. I bought the supercharger off ebay for like $1200 dollars with some missing parts. In the end I spent about $3500 give or take between that and the other stuff that you do to the truck. At the end of the day its still slow but it's fun for sure. Did the smaller pulley and was up to 10 psi of boost. I never had a problem and did the tuning myself with a laptop. Now if you really want some put you back in the seat power drive a 335d(diesel) then add a $300 dollar chip. I'm putting out 340hp to the crank and well over 500 torque and still able to get 36-40 mpg on the freeways.

I'm not sure what you're looking for specification-wise but, according to several web sites, the supercharger offers:
    • Peak to peak gain: +64 HP (34%)
    • Best gain: 75 HP @ 5,200 RPM (43%)
    • Peak to peak gain: +50 lb-ft torque (22%)
    • Best gain: 77 lb-ft torque (43%)
    • As much torque at 1,800 RPM as the normally aspirated (3.4L) engine does at its torque peak

I have one, and I love it. About 20K (of my truck's 60K) miles have been with logged since it was installed. No problems yet.

Mine is a 5-spd manual transmission and I've never experienced pinging.

Ive been doing my research and seems like most ppl with S/C have manual transmissions. Some ppl also expericence "ping" sounds in low/high RPM's.

Would you say it's worth the money to get it supercharged? After ppl saying they been having problems, I'm real skeptical about getting one.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.
Manuals make the truck much more fun to drive when its boosted. More control on when to shift...obviously lol

To really help make it run right tho, you should plan on getting URDs 7th Injector kit. That will help get rid of the pinging.

Remember, every truck is different. If i could, i would SC mine in a heart beat. If you do it right, you won't kill the truck.

    ...too much shit to list.
Unless you are carefull with the thottle, you will always ping in high gear/low RPM and WOT. The factory ECU only allows for 7 degrees of retard which is not enough in high gear low RPM. The URD 7th injector kit will elminate the problem. If you don't wanna spend the money on the 7th, swap your plugs for 1 range cooler and dont go WOT in high gear/low rpm.

Installing the 7th inyector will give performance gains? Anyone has measured it?

I think it gives about 30-40 more hp.
