I have a question regarding the primer powdercoating. I've never heard of such a thing. I thought paint needed primer, not powder coat? Can you please explain

After they sandblast they will often times put an epoxy primer on under the color coat for more protection of the steel. It's a good way for us to give you a base coat and to keep the steel from rusting while on the shelf.

We don't like sending out rusty parts.

Its a primer powder coat. Meaning its primered and ready for paint. its just that the primer is powder coat and not a regular automotive paint primer. This allows you to customize the color with whatever you want. you cant just leave it bare and you need to primer before you paint anyways.

    Zactly!

And the expense for powder coating is pretty negligible in quantity compared to trying to keep them from rusting on the shelf.
