Cresent tools

Are they a good quality set of tools?

 

never heard of them where are you buying them from

crescent makes some very good,durable tools. i have quite a few crescent wrenches and such.

 

well i guess that means im ahead of the game when it comes time for me to get the "mod" bug.

the price tag kindof tells you ha

 

I have Snap-On in my toolbox. I use them everyday though.

 

Craftsman?

 

i got tons of craftsman too man....................use them all the time. and the warranty for hand tools is awesome too!!

 

I dont know what warranty i have with my Crescents.. jhodge might know

 

im guessing its probably a limited lifetime warrranty.

 

I have a few Cresent tools and never had a problem with them that wasn't my fault.

Craftsman tools....I think they make the wrench edges so sharp you can't pull hard enough to break them (and make them replace them for free).

 

thats what im thinking. thats how it is for basically every tool manufacturer

 

Im glad i dont have Craftsman then haha. No matter what though i am going to get some Mechanix Gloves

 

I can't work with gloves on. Couldn't take them even when I lived up north and I'd grab a tool that was so cold it would stick to my hand. I like to be able to reach where I can't see and feel what size bolt or nut is there, be able to feel around and find a little screw that fell somewhere I can't see it. They would save me an occasional blood-letting but I learned to accept I'm gonna end up bleeding somewhere.

 

i use my mechanics gloves alot...........especially iff im working on a hot exhaust or oil oor something...........work for me pretty good.now getting nuts/bolts started..........i take them off for that.

 

yeah i guess they would be a good idea around a hot exhaust! i've got a pair somewhere out in the garage, i'll dig them out for when times are better and i'm putting my magnaflow on!
