    Lowered trucks can be nice. And to the right person, just as useful. I would venture to say that less than half of the country's truck owners use their trucks near their full load capacity at least once a month. If all you're ever gonna haul is some building supplies or a 4wheeler/dirtbike and want something that drives more like a car to drive everyday, then why not? The looks are a plus too IMHO

    A couple years ago when I was between trucks and wanting another one to haul my dirt bike, I wasn't ready to pull the trigger on a Tacoma so I went for something that I knew I would enjoy driving, but would still haul fine and be really cheap.

    I went the minitruck route and picked up an immaculate 92 Mazda B2600i with a 2/3 drop already on it. 6 months later I happened upon a Tacoma I couldn't pass up, and a year and a half later I still have both because the minitruck is too much fun to part with!

    The only negative of the whole situation is that the minitruck isn't a Toyota, but I have zero complaints about the Mazda, I love driving it.
