People in Cali are crazy... especially in San Juan Capistrano

A man was attacked in his home by a neighbor because his generator was too loud. He was beat with a flashlight and hospitalized by the neighbor.

    discuss...

makes me want to answer my door with a shot gun because you never know what someone is going to do...

but then again this could be an argument for gun control because what if this r tard brought a gun instead of his flashlight?

This kind of crap rarely comes out of nowhere. If your nutjob neighbor has repeatedly told you to turn you generator off and then you see him outside messing with the generator, don't go outside unless you are prepared for conflict. Should have been either willing and ready to hit him, shoot him, whatever or should have called the cops to deal with it. If he'd shot the guy, he'd probably be in jail instead of the hospital.

at 11pm, if someone is in my yard they will be getting a big surprise...

i had an incident here and called the police and it took 2 hours for someone to drive by...

If there was a blackout, the first thing i would think was "crime of opportunity" someone taking advantage trying to steal something...

I fully agree, just saying a neighbor in your yard under strange circumstances should be treated the same as a "criminal type" in your yard. Nothing wrong with confronting them, but the victim in this case obviously should have armed himself before doing so. He just proved that stern words don't work with a lunatic.

And in California, one needs to consider the possibility of legal problems in a situation like this. I wish that weren't the case, but I deal with the general public on a daily basis, and some of them have some fucked up thinking. Those people can easily be part of your jury of your peers.

this. Lately I have been on high alert because we have had some uncommon vehicles driving around the neighborhood and some sketchy people walking around trying to sell things door to door.

I just so happened to make a coffin for Halloween so.... if someone decides to do something stupid, I might just make use of that coffin.

He could of threw gas on him and lit him on fire. maybe its an argument for gas control. He could have stabbed him with a knife, beat him to death with a bat, ran him over, threw boiling hot water on him, threw acid in his face, bashed his head in with a rock or stabbed him in the neck with a poison needle.

Crazy stuff, he was probably jealous the neighbor had a generator and he didn't. What a looser.
