    we have annual passes that need to be put to use ... i'll throw out the idea to colin and maybe we'll make it up friday night - sunday.

    we haven't camped at the windrock park campground, is it pretty decent? bathrooms ok? (from a female point of view, that is!?)

    the place is beautiful showers,wi-fi , power washing station,ect
    also beautiful camping spots.....i had a spot on the side of a cliff and woke up to the sun rising over the mountain very beautiful........
    they also have cabin rentals on the property as well

    Hmm my dad lives just outside of Oak Ridge, I didn't even know this place existed. I may be interested, but only on the easy to moderate trails. If theres enough interest in those, I could go. I keep my eye on this thread!

    Talked to a guy in the rattle rock club. He said the worst spot of cadillac hill is the exit. And he also mentioned "rail trail". Once you enter 39 and cross creek bed stay right. That leads to rail trail.

    If I remember correctly you guys Are near windrock correct? If not/u didn't know, there is a town about 15 mins out from trail head with several nice hotels and restaurants. I figure we'd stay At the camp to keep the cost down. Or another option is to stay in the on site cabins. I did see ac units on them last time but have no idea about heat. I'm sure u can give then a call for reservations or further Info if ur considering that option.

    *When the date get closer and I have a general headcount ill call and reserve some primitive sites near the back.

    What kind of noises?

    We are about a 5 hour drive, coming from atlanta. Been up there plenty so we know our way around, just haven't stayed at the particular campground before.

    Are you booting me to a hotel or cabin because i'm a girl and can't camp with the boys? Lol JK!

    No, really i like cabins and my own bathroom, but their prices are a little steep for whatcha get. I don't mind camping, i just don't like to if its raining.

    Gotta see what colin thinks.... and check the wheeling fund... since we'll be heading to harlan shortly after.
