i use a leaf blower to get most of the water off the truck. then i go over it with mothers showtime and a clean terrycloth towel. get a really good shine on my indigo blue taco. mothers showtime spray also removes those pain in the ass water spots if you get them.

I've heard from professional detailing forums, that a 100% cotton towel from somewhere expensive like Macy's or something works 10x better than the absorber. I may need to try that...

For now, i use a 2cu ft absorber on the whole body, ride it around the block to get the loose water out the wheels, etc. then absorb it again.

Old bath towels work the best for me. Chamois hold the dirt and take the wax off faster.
A folded old cotton towel absorbs easily and can be refolded as you go. Windows first, then top down, a second towel for details, and a third towel keep separate for wheels. Works for me.

It wasn't a choice but I use a Waffle Weave Microfiber towel. Those things hold so much water. Two towels is plenty to do the Tacoma.

I spray a little catnip in with the water when rinsing and let the neighborhood cats lick it dry. Works Great!

took a break from washing my cars myself. after over 10 years i broke out the Absorber and still works as well as ever.

i also have the california blade with the surgical grade silicone. works great as the first round to get the initial volume of water down.

gotta try the leaf blower. sounds like a great idea for the cracks and residual drips.

A sponge  But I change sponges after every 3 washes/dries...and I never really let my Taco get that dirty anyway. Never really had luck with those chamois things...probably was using it wrong though? Haha

After I wash my truck, I take it for a quick drive down the road and when I get back home I dry it off with a microfiber towel. Does good and doesn't leave water spots :)
