Totally hear you, but there are people everywhere I go around here. I haven't been in the truck by myself on an overnight trip. Only time I off-road by myself is fooling around in an ATV park, which is literally 4 acres (probably less).

New England is pretty damn tame, like I said. :( I'm jealous of the rest of you guys.

Lol! All those lucky 14 year olds...

    neglect, mostly.
i nearly rolled my tacoma about a week after owning it in the snow. i was backing nice and slow on the side of a hill, and it just started sliding perfectly sideways straight into a ditch that was very deep, and packed with snow. couldn't do anything. my brother who was driving a tractor at the time, using a disk blade to move snow actually got off of the tractor and walked 50 yards to his truck (f-150) just so he could say he pulled me out with it. . . . and still gives me shit about it.

been pulled at by a many a things. but this had to be the worst!! truck sat there for 5 days! had 2 come-alongs hooked to it and 1 broke. had a 4cyl 96 yota try and wouldnt budge it. then had a bronco on brand new 39 1/2 boggers almost get stuck just tryin to get to my truck. so finally we got a big a** Cat D5N dozer with 3ft wide low pressure tracks to pull me out.....like a glove! HE DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO REV UP THE DOZER! Fortunately even though it sat for 5 days nothin messed up :)

So far my Tacoma has not been pulled out at any time. That is saying something because it is an open 2WD that has been off roading a couple of times.

My '87 4Runner has been pulled out twice. The first time was my first trip and the tires had little/no tread and I went into a big mud hole with a steep wall on the other side. I got pulled out by buddie's '85 4Runner.

Getting pulled out, view from the passenger seat.

The second time was by a Tacoma to keep my 4Runner from rolling over backwards on a trail. Again, my semi-bald tires and a bad line up some rocks put me in a bad spot. Once we got another truck to give me a pull up the initial rock face I got traction and went over it fine. Since then I have upgraded my tires to 33" Super Swamper TSLs. Went back and did that trial without a single problem.

The tires are on the direction of the trail; the rest of the 4Runner isn't, lol.

Been pulled out by a Jeep and a Chevy 2500. I've pulled out a Dodge Ram 1500 and an F-250, so I guess that kinda makes up for it.:anonymous:
I now run KM2s during the warmer months and Blizzaks during the winter in addition to a winch, so *hopefully* I won't have to be pulled out ever again.

Never been pulled out. I had a close call in some 4ft snow. But after 5minutes of working it in 4wd with power steering I got out. I've had to tow a Camry, a jetta, and an old '95 2WD 4Runner.

Hope to get a snatch rope soon - it seems so much more fun compared to chains.

havent been stuck yet but last snow season at mt high in so cal i pulled out a stuck Dodge diesel 2500 with 6" lift and micky tompson tires that were almost bald hahaha. The driver was a chick who worked there and was pretty cute too. We were in about 4" of snow and it took me a while but i managed to pull her out, everyone was cheering once i got her out and someone said "awe we should have recorded this for YOUTUBE" lol.

My tacoma hasn't been stuck yet but I've only taken it thru so light off road stuff, deep mud with rock bottom so if you get thru the mud with enough clearance anything can make it thru, the locker helped alot tho. My s10 however got stuck in 3 inches of wet dirt and had to be pulled out by a GMC Sierra, T100, Colorado, and shamely a Cevy Monte Carlo.
