The things that are eating at me about tonight's game......

How can you let a guy come untouched to the qb, particularly during the final 3 minutes with a chance to drive and take the lead?

How can not be aware of a fake punt possibility from "the ole ball coach". (I was yelling, "watch for the fake.....watch for the fake!":mad:

And I cant recall how many times in recent years we have outplayed a team and yet find a way to lose! :goingcrazy:

Being a sports fan and living in the state of GA is going to be the death of me one day. :D

    Roll Tide!

I heard a stat on the radio after the game. In Penn State's first and last drives combined, they held the ball for 11 minutes, went 125 yards, ran 30 plays, and scored 11 points. In the 10 drives in between, they ran 37 plays, held the ball for about 15 minutes, went 131 yards, and scored nothing. I thought that was pretty cool. Seems like we took a drive to settle in on D, then got a little slack at the end.

I've been saying all week that we'd win by 2, maybe 3 touchdowns, and until our D gave up that late score, we were up by 3. Needless to say, I'm happy.

This just in... Dan Mullen has still only beaten one SEC West team: Ole Miss. Again, thanks for nothing, bulldogs.

Speaking of bulldogs... Have to say I'm glad UGA lost today. Nothing against Georgia, but I want Boise to look as bad as possible, so I want UGA to lose out, though I realize that won't happen. The LAST thing we need is an undefeated Boise State saying, "look, we beat the SEC East champions!"

I have to say that this looked like a contest of two teams looking for a way to loose. I am a gamecock fan, but so far our defense has looked like a joke. ECU hung 37 on them and the last three drives by Georgia (fumble for touchdown excepted) it looked like the band had put on uniforms. A lot of my fellow gamecock fans have been making noise about an SEC championship and maybe a run at the NC - So far I cannot see it. Play defense like that against Miss. St, Auburn, Florida or Arkansas and it will get UGLY quick. Don't get me wrong, glad for the win, but scared at the lack of defense.

That being said, don't count out UGA in the East. They played well tonight at times and if their offense continues to play like they did in the 4th quarter, I can see them making a run at the East the rest of the way in.

Now I wish I would have watched the Iowa vs. Iowa State game. Oh well, Iowa state still sucks... and so does Iowa. Just wanted to throw that out. Thanks.

First off, this Michigan/ND game was incredible!

    Now...on to the sucky news....

The UGA/SC game was a good game. Georgia fans at least had a FEELING that we could win it. We were still in the game. That's a step in the right direction from last week. We actually called blitzes this week and we actually hit the QB. Crazy how that works. That being said.....damn.

If we win out (That's a HUGE if), he might stay another year, unfortunately. I've tried to defend him for the last couple years. He's a great, God-fearing, Christian man. It's hard for me to root against him. But, we had Stafford and Moreno, but that year I said all the other SEC teams were stacked, too. Then, we have Joe Cox, so that was reason enough to say that we sucked. He was terrible. Then, we had a freshman QB last year, and 2 RBs that couldn't hold onto the ball. (And he hasn't fired Bobo, which is one of his worst coaching moves, IMO.) This year, I can't make excuses. We should have beat SC. They didn't beat us. We beat ourselves. They played well enough to keep themselves in the game, and we played bad enough to let them stay in the game. Can't turn the ball over like that and expect to win.

Even if you let them come untouched, if you're Aaron Murray, you can't hold the ball out like that when you're getting hit. That was a bad play by him. Take the sack, go down, and fight again on the next play.
Everyone knew that Spurrier was gonna try for a fake punt, especially considering we went for the onside kick (that was GORGEOUS...just about half a yard short).

SC didn't really show me a whole lot. Lattimore and Jeffry were incredible like always. We can't stop either one of them. You need a QB. Steven Garcia is awful. The loser of this game has never won the SEC championship...in fact I don't think the loser of this game has every represented the East in the SECCG. Someone correct me if I'm wrong there. If we can win out, maybe it'll happen, but I don't see it. I would LOVE for it to, but it won't.

If you didn't stay up to watch the ND/Michigan game, you missed an awesome finish. 3 TDs in 70 seconds to end it. I think both teams are mediocre, at best... Probably 8 wins max for either of them. Probably not even that for ND. Still, they were so equally mediocre, the game turned out fantastic.

ND defense SUCKS. They gave up 28 points in the fourth quarter. D. Robinson completed most of his passes in the second half... He was 11/24 for 338 yards. Holy shit.

Aside: Has ESPN ever shoved anything down the public's throat quite as hard as they did the FIRST NIGHT GAME AT MICHIGAN EVER?!?!? We get it... you played at night at home. Nobody outside the stadium gives a shit, b/c we've all been to a night game before. STFU!!!

Sorry... It really annoyed me all day.

Very well stated.....there was a horseshoe up our ass last night, for sure! Georgia moved the ball way to easy.....and us playing for the Eastern Div. is a joke with a defense that can't defend the pass & a QB that is off/on play by play.

My hats off to you guys, I fully expect you guys to have a good season from here on out. Showed a huge improvement over the Boise game and last night was yours to win......lady luck just wouldn't have it!

Auburns last second win, Iowa/state triple overtime and UM v. Southbend U 3 TD's in the last minute!! are you kidding me? It was a great weekend of college football.

Oh yeah and I believe GDGG (god damn garret gilbert) finally lost the starting job.

McCoy to Shipley for 2 more years!!!!!!!

Thing is I wasn't even worried on that drive when Murray took the sack. I fully felt that with how we were moving the ball we would at the very least get a field goal to go to overtime. But yeah Murray was probably trying to make to much happen by trying to break loose in stead of taking the loss and playing the next down. So far this year he doesn't seem quite as poised as last year, but it's early.

And with these other comments about us playing much better, that is one another big issue with our coaching staff for me. Why does it take so long to figure out where a problem is? Why cant we pick up on things during the game and adjust? We always tend to figure it out after it's too late, during week of practice. I know we improved but we still cant seem to win the big games anymore, I'm bummed out right now. :(

I did enjoy the MI/ND game last night, aside from being on the UGA side, watched 3 great games yesterday. I was pulling for MI as I had picked them and get sick of hearing how ND is so great every year and they don't prove so.

The other thing I learned this weekend is that Auburn is the new LSU. :boink::crapstorm:

I sure hope so! Last year was painful, imo Lil Mccoy should have had the job last year-he'd really be a beast right now! Hopefully we have all of the kinks ironed out when I attend the OSU game here in Austin.
