need cheap power

I have an 07 double cab with rear lockers,3ich lift and 33's. Im only 17 with not alot of money. And im wanting to increase the power of my toyota. Im wanting to put on a good exhaust thats a good bang for its buck, a cold air intake, and possibly a power chip. i can only buy one at a time so any ideas of what order i should put them on in. Or any good deals you may know of?

 

well anything you add (with the exception of forced induction) will yield mostly high end power. However I would put in CAI, Headers, Exhaust, then URD MAF calibrator in that order. Should yield some decent gains. Good luck bud!

 

Don't do the power chip, they are worthless, especially the really cheap ones. In order to get real power gains, you are going to have to spend some money, unfortunately. I would start with a CAI, you'll probably see the biggest gain there out of the mods you listed.

 

Bang for your buck? Install the muffler of your choice onto the stock system and add an AFE ProdryS air filter. You simply aren't going to see enough gains to justify a full catback and a $300 intake.

REAL power isn't cheap.

Answer this question, and you will find a way to purchase more power regardless of the cost.

get an electric fan. for around 200 bucks for a good one you can recover about 5 to 15 hp at the rear of the engine.

 

Cheap power? Nitrous.

 

X2 - This is sound advice. AFE Prodry, muffler, and you can add some headers as well.

17 with a double cab.....damn i'm 23 and can'tstand anything bigger than a regular cab in this body style. thye are jsut too bulky for me...then again...trails in New England are much smaller than other places

Hey, I got my truck when I was 17. But I didn't really start modding until this past year. About 2 years later.

I put on Flowmaster 50, True Flow CAI, and DT Long Tube headers. I'm pretty satisfied with the power I have.

I couldn't give you any numbers on power. But there are noticeable gains in low RPM torque, and high RPM horsepower.

 

Deck plate mod and an electric fan. Total spent about 210 bucks. Total power gained around 9 to 19 horse.

Yup, I'd go the exhaust route!
