Next week i have a appointment to get our TACO tinted and the guy asked me if i wanted the front strip tinted too, so i went outside to look at it and i noticed that in the middle of the windshield by the rear view mirror there is the bump thingy on the glass, he said they can tint it but it might not look good, so i was wondering if anyone tint theirs and how did it come out, did it bubble or peel? and is it that noticeable?

PS. Mods please erase or close thread after answer given, mahalo:D

When I first bought my truck it already had the tint strip on there and I never noticed that there were dots there. I'm 6'3 and 300+ lbs so it was always hard for me to see street lights and what not so when my windshield got cracked the first time I didn't bother putting the tint strip back on. I can still pull up to a light and pull so far forward that I can't see the signal lights but if the tint was still there it would bee very hard to see. but if I was shorter I would say go for it. The dots will prolly never even catch your eye unless you are looking for them.

Oh ok so the dots don't affect the tint at all as far as peeling since i am assuming around the dots don't stick to well cause the dots are raised? but how does it look from the outside looking at the windshield, the guy was telling me that in the sun its going to be really noticeable so im thinking like how noticeable like a sticker about to come off noticeable?

Save your money on the tint and buy a nice pair of sun glasses instead

I never saw the spots inside or out. I live in Florida so my tint may have been a little darker but I don't know. I never saw them.

I had that strip tinted to 5% on mine too and no problems here. It looks good and is wonderful to have when driving in the early morning/late evening
