Will these diffs swap strait into my tacoma?

    Rear 8" RD23 + 5.29 Yukon gears in a 4 cylinder housing
    Front 7.5" RD90 IFS + 5.29 gears

they are ARB locker diffs and come with the original 4.10 gears too. And a compressor..for only 750 bucks...so i hope they can be swaped on to my truck? Or maybe will just the ARBs swap into my diffs??

i know right? id love to have em since i am open in both now :(

So this is what i have found so far.
I am pretty sure i can use the RD90 on my front diff for sure.
so even if the rear doesn't fit, a front locker and air compressor for that price is hard to pass up, and a locker is a locker....i think ill email the guy.

Good idea, you could always sell the rear if it doesnt fit. Make sure to bring spare CVs with you on the trail :D

If the rear is a non TRD gear set and you also have a non TRD rear axle housing, the gear should fit. Are the gears from the 8" TRD axle or from the 8.4" (it really is only an 8") non TRD axle? 4 cylinder/V6 shouldn't matter. I'm pretty sure the front diff is the same on all the 4x4s, the only differences maybe be ADD/manual hubs.

    Here's some more diff info

    Thanks for the info!

ANd here is all the info i have so far..

Selling a complete ARB Air Locker system for 1986 through 1995 Toyota pickups and 4Runners.

    Rear 8" RD23 + 5.29 Yukon gears in a 4 cylinder housing
    Front 7.5" RD90 IFS + 5.29 gears
    ARB compressor
ARB switches and wiring with a bracket to install the switch in place of the cubby under the radio
Original 4.10 front and rear gears and differentials (loose in boxes)

    Would prefer to sell complete.

So i know the Front one will fit. And maybe the rear? As its for the 8'' housing which is what i have right? Im guessing this guy was running it in an earlier truck..

    $750 is a steal.

I know older trucks have a spanner type setup to adjust gears, but the Tacoma (8.4) uses a shim style system instead.

Okay see thats were im confused. So i do have the "8.4"" diff? (i know its still an 8'') in my tacoma? hmmmm so maybe the RD23 wont fit in mine..From what i am seeing the RD23 is for the actuall 8'' V6/Trubo diff.. :(

I think physically the carrier/diff it will fit because the housings are just slightly bigger on the two(8" and 8.4)..but like I said I'm not 100% sure it'll work because of adjustment mechanisms.

    You could call ARB

Monte, that 8.0 diff will not fit your rear axle housing. The 8.0 and 8.4 refer to ring gear size. Yours is an 8.4 if it is a open diff (not trd e-locker).
