I am just about done with my satoshi and when i pulled the tape off there is a edge of primer showing that didnt get painted (just my luck). It doesnt look bad from a few feet away but up close it sure does. I might sand and paint it again if it keeps bothering me when I get it finished. for now Ill going to try a paint marker. (its hard to see the primer, most of what looks like it in the pic is just a glare)

and which grill mesh do you think I should go with. I drawn these and am getting a metal shop to cut them out for me.

If it it's going to bother you, then I would definitely just redo it now - you know you will just end up redoing it later if that's the case.

As far as the design, I would just go with the tried and true TOYOTA emblem.

I would also be sure not to make it too big, otherwise it will look a little weird. I think the size and placing of the TOYOTA emblem in the standard Satoshi looks perfect and would make it match that as close as possible.

That's all just my opinion, of course.

I made TOYOTA big to do something thing like the ford raptors grill. I might make some more choices before i get it cut. I want something unique rather than just a ordinary satoshi.

Makes sense - if you are going to do it like that, I would space the letters out a little bit more and take up the full grille.

i'll try it. the hard part is getting the exact dimensions of the grill with the rounded corners, and the sides of it are bowed out just a little. I wish I had a template

try a piece of poster board to make a template and you will be able to trim it a little at a time till you get what you want...I like the Toyota emblem personally.
