I guess I must live in lala land and only ever visited the really nice parts of the US. Cause never have I been in a place with so many drugged out gun totting crazies and random deadly violence that the only way to ensure my safety was to carry a gun everywhere I go?

I carry one everyday at work and have witness to many things that thankfully most people will never have to. But in over 10 years of actively looking for criminals with guns I have only managed to find 2 with real ones. Neither time was I driving home or just walking along minding my own business. I was out looking for them.

When was the last time you heard of a normal everyday person getting shot? Would having a gun on him/her have prevented it? 99 or more out of a hundred people who are shot, are criminals.

By your logic regarding the car accident I can only assume that you carry your life savings, in cash, in your car at all times, right? Cause no one would take it if they rolled up on you unconscious in a ditch. But if they did, you would teach'em, even in your unconscious state manage to draw your desert eagle and double tap him in the chest!!

And Kilo, as for the name calling. Next time your up my way, let me know. I will arrange for you to come for a ride along. I would never think of calling you a sheep without having met you. But unlike you, after 10 years of working in the most violent city in our country; a couple of broken bones more bruises, cuts and sprains then I can count. And may I add at least a couple of dozen off duty and unarmed arrests I have proven myself to be a SHEEPDOG!

Which part? Do you mean to tell me that the vast majority of gun crime victims in the USA are innocent victims? Ever noticed how within hours of someone being shot the local news have their picture? It is almost always a mugshot.

No, and I would suggest not putting words in my mouth. 99% is too high.

I find it interesting that CA is so anti gun, while they have the highest amount of murders commited with a fire arm. In 2009, 1360 people were killed with guns. By far the highest in the nation. While AZ has its issues with gun toteing criminals, we had only 197. Wyoming......where I belive you are given a gun at birth......Had 8. <-----thats eight, and not a typo.

Granted it's an old survey, but seeing how the "rules" have changed in places I'd like to see current numbers.

I only ask because California has 70 times the population of Wyoming.

Okay, so CA is only twice as bad as Wyoming. Which is still ridiculous.

"No kingdom can be secured otherwise than by arming the people. The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion."

Over 10% of all the gun involved murders in the US are in CA. Even more than DC. Yet the CA government refuses to let law abiding citizens arm themselves, as given to Us as a right by the founding Fathers. We had alot of gun crimes in the past, and when the gvmt. gave out CCW permits.....crime dropped. THEN.....When they said "Hey.....You dont need a permit to carry concealed anymore...", crime dropped again. Criminals in prison were interviewed, and said they dont want to get hurt. Who does? You think they dont think about wether or not a guy out here my be packing? Or a gal.? Hell.....The first dude who shot a bad guy with his CCW, was given hero status, and intervied on all the local news. He was a 65+ yo male, and a guy tried to car jack him. I'd almost feel sorry for a guy trying to hurt my familly, or my friends famillies. The only sound that would be heard, for a brief instant before the round disccharged, would be the "plop" sound of the bad guys poop hitting the floor....

if you knew the history of gun control before you lol'd then you would understand exactly what i mean...gun control was/is a means to control people who arent white by keeping them defenseless and started in the south after the civil war...so LOL all you want and thinkk that gun control isnt racist im sure the jews in nazi germany wouldnt agree with you as they were disarmed and led to the slaughter....

If you're a gun enthusiast of any kind.....you might as well get out of CA......it will never get any better there for firearm owners.

until the passage of SB308 here in GA that got rid of our 140 year old racist public gathering GA was actually more restrictive than california for gun laws....basically anywhere people were at could be construed to be a "public gathering" and off limits...but all of the case law only concerns black men because the court knew it was never meant to be applied to white men so they didnt get arrested for it
