I just tried this mod, but it didn't work. My Taco didn't come with factory tow package and doesn't have the Tow Relay. Could this be why it didn't work?

Nevermind! I read some of the other posts and figured out I need to purchase a relay.

My 4-cyl 2011 Access Cab didn't come with fog lights. In fact, I asked about them at parts dept of my local dealership and he said they didn't have a part listing for my truck. I'm sure they are listed for the TRD version, but I am going to purchase some aftermarket ones to save money. Anyway, since my truck isn't already wired for the fogs, I just need to tap the switch (86) wire on my relay into one of the parking light wires, right? They stay on regardless of high/low beams and turn off automatically when the ignition is switched off. This way, my fogs would come on with the parking lights (which I like) and stay on with either my high or low beams like you guys are doing with this mod.

Lots of pictures here My Auto OEM Fog Light Mod
For those Tacos that came without fogs and thus no fog relay or towing tail relay. If running lights, low beams or high beams are on so are the fogs I leave my running lights on and use fogs as daytime running lights.

tried this on a 2012...The location that is marked Fog Relay in the OP, is now called "AI Valve", i tried the mod and it didn't work. I wonder where they could have moved the relay.

Edit-- found fog relay in the small fuse box behind the main fuse box...will try wiring between the boxes tomorrow
