They are half as much as a tent. Just tough to change in one:D. I do like the bivy more than the hammok i borrowed. I like to sleep on something solid. I moved a tiny bit and woke up in the sheer terror of falling. I shall stick to the ground.

A bivy bag is nice if you're in a place with few bugs and if you're keen to keep moving and stay light.

With the right one, it's not as big of a deal but yes, it's a concern.

Just spent an hour watching his youtube vids... I am going to be buying some energy drink cans and trying to make one of those things.

I know lol. I first saw his vids and started making a few of my own for fun. but he really pays attention to detail and makes his stoves perfect. I figured 15 bucks for the worlds lightest stove...why not lol

Perfection that only repetition can provide. Ill probably spend more on drinks before i make a decent one.

    Nothing exciting really :(
It was freakishly warm out Friday night...I was sitting at the fire in a tshirt, no sweatshirt/jacket at 10pm. I don't think I've ever been able to do that before, especially this late in the year! And it was damn cold in the morning, I know it was below freezing.

Yeah...I could do without the 4am wake ups!
