I got 20.6 on my last fill up. Seems that when I do enough hwy driving I can get over 20 but city driving is knocking it down to 18.5-19.5.

I just got 25 (twenty-five) mpgs on my 4.0L V6 on a roadtrip from California to Washington! I went 201 miles on 8.03 gallons of gas. I was transporting a bed in the back, and luggage, a dog, and myself in the cab.

No large amount of drafting or 201 mile downhill slope (haha).

I kept track of the location of the fillup in Wasco, OR (where I found out about the 25MPG) but not the one right before it. I know I went from Williams, CA to [Somewhere] to Wasco, OR. The distance between [Somewhere] and Wasco is where I got the 25MPG. I can't seem to figure out what gas station and where it was even though I know it was 312 Miles north of Williams and 201 miles south of Wasco.

The gas in Oregon & Washington is much better for gas mileage than California gas is. Many other people have said that the CA. gas additives significantly decrease your gas mileage. So much for being good for the environment!

I just checked my gas mileage on my 2011 Tacoma... I got 22 mpg and that was driving in town. I've not taken it on the highway yet.

I bought my 2011 DC pre-runner with 4.0/Auto Friday. Took a trip to see my mom. 100 miles 32 of it at 60 MPH, 68 at 70 MPH (no city), 22 MPG. I'm looking forward to see what my mileage will be long term.

dam my mpg seems horrible compared to you guys. I'm only getting 16-17 maybe 18mpg.
06 DBL Cab long bed V6. I think I'm driving slow and I'm using 91.

Freeway I cruise at 70. but I do a lot of street driving.

We have the same truck, the same year 06, we live in the same area, and we're getting the same bad gas mileage. It has to be the California gas. I've gotten better mpg's in other states. Although I just added a tonneau a couple of weeks ago and I got 22.75 mpg on a recent road trip. Other than that I averaged about 18 mpg.

I get real excited anytime I am at 17 or more MPG... and I am trying to be careful with excellerating, etc.

Lately, I am down to 14.5 to 15.5 MPG around town driving (which is usually 15.5-16.5 MPG). The truck is almost at 30,000 miles... so maybe the new spark plugs it will get at that service interval will help?

Highway cruising has been 17.5-18.5 MPG and only once was over 19 mpg.

Just checked tire pressure, and they are all good (running the Hankook ATms at 38 psi each).

Join Fuelly.com and post the current avearge... and put the link here on TW (see mine, below).

Traction controls may help, because a spinning tire is a waste of gasoline! However, since A-TRAC is used so little, and only when you are in low range when a tire is slipping... I don't think it even comes into play. My gas mileage in 4WD is close to 12 MPG, anyway...

I finally joined fuelly and imported all of my fuel fills from Excel.

    26.5 was my best tank.

I don't stop much on my way to and from work. Max speed limit is 55 and I tend to hover around there. Speeding doesn't get me to work quicker.

42 miles round trip home to work.

Double cab long bed v6 5 speed auto.

All 50miles (25mi one way) highway driving, but on the last two (and you can see the first one too, that was on Shell Gaoslines), I switched back to Shell from using Chevron's gas for a while...it's odd how my MPGs dropped and the climate hasn't really changed and nor have my driving habbits.

    Speeds vary from 55-65MPH.
