    hey guys,

I'm looking to get a front tube bumper for my '04 prerunner and am curious which of the two that i am between (Avid w/ front plate or TG low profile) you guys would think look the best.

I dont plan on getting a winch, but like the style and low profile of the TG, but i like the prerunner style plate of the Avid.

mostly looks to be honest, and am trying to talk with avid to change the front plate up a bit (such as adding tubes down the sides and mount the plate to tabs)

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
    Trail gear then ad plate.

but Avid is probably better quality.

anyone have any ideas that could make it better or ways of mounting the front plate?

id like to add some side hoops on the sides by the sidemarker lights (like the allpro) but idk what they are for exactly..haha

sorry for the lame thread, but this is my first custom bumper order and i am being overly particular....

Kind of hard to "see" the black one too good, but they both look really cool. If it were me, I would be happy with either one over the stocker. Good luck!

Little better pic of the Trail Gear, except mine has a light hoop. You can probably guess what my vote would be.

The TG looks really good. Is the winch access part of the bumper? The OP said they were not too interested in getting a winch so maybe the Avid is a better route for them? Not to threadjack, but BoxRocket every time i see your truck i get a stiffy. just sayin...

I vote for the Avid. I like the look and no need for a the extra weight of a winch plate if you arent going to use it. I just had my allpro bumper cut up and turned into something similar to the Avid.

Really like your bumper! did you just cut out the winch plate portion and mount your plate from the top bar to the bottom one?

    interested in selling yours?:D:pray::pray::pray:

    Here are the detail:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-tacomas/177069-allpro-bumper-modified.html#post3713970

Dont think anyone would want to buy it for what I want for this one by the time you figure original cost + shipping + cost to modify. I finally have the bumper I wanted so I really wouldn't sell it.
Lenger is going to make plans for a similar bumper when he has my truck for some other work so you could talk to him.

thanks for all of the help guys, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with AVID. I'm talking to brandon about some minor changes to the pictured design.

Does anyone know if the tubing is the same size as an All-Pro rear bumper?

IDK if it would look weird with two different sizes on the bumpers...

For looks, I like the low-profile TrailGear.

you can ask him to change up the size of the tubing, he wouldnt mind.

i dont think it would look weird personally.
i love my bumper(pictured one) its great! no complaints!
