Congrats! I loved my A4. An absolute money pit - both by choice (upgraded turbo, ECU tuning, exhaust, etc) and by necessity (water pump/timing belt change, endless coilpack failures (always kept 2 spares in the car) and misc maint.). I've met people on both sides of the coin - some that use and abuse and never have a problem, and others that pampered their Audi only to have a timing belt failure/near detonation. If she runs like a top, you'll never want anything else. If not, like others have said, you'll count the days til you can escape her lusterous ways.

Welcome to the Club! Currently own a 96 taco and a 2007 Audi S4. I split time with both 50/50 as I get better mileage out of the Taco.

I am 5'7.. 5'8 when i wear my shox lol. The clinic I work at paid a huge portion of my schooling since it is cheaper to have in-house therapy vs paying a staffing company. The car came with a good warranty. Not too worried. All vehicles break and I'll cross that bridge when it comes. Didn't buy the car worrying about fixing it.

    http://www.edmunds.com/audi/tt/2008/reliability.html?style=100852102

edmunds gives it 5/5 so I am hoping it goes this route as

    http://www.jdpower.com/autos/Audi/TT/2008/coupe/ratings/

    jd gives it 2/5

So who knows... I'll pay for the repairs when it comes time. But like I said... it's new and I like it. Can't argue that =]

Wish I could have kept the taco too but the dealership paid it off (2006 prerunner reg cab). owed 10 on it, so it was a clean trade I think.

    S4 = :drool:

My buddy had a 2004 S4. I believe it was putting down about 425 to the wheels. Sadly, he sold it about 2 years ago.

Actually... I frequent this site a lot just registered late because I needed something for my truck and wanted to post in the buy/sell section. I am one of the few that use that handy search button instead of asking questions that had already been covered. So I think I am not much of a d bag as I have played by the "rules". No worries.. it's just the internet ;)

fun stuff coming soon! New battery, radiator and CV joints and axles. Added some Rancho RS5000 shocks.
i dont see the dbag move in doing that, peoples preferences change, hes excited about his new car, we are all partial to our toys. no need to be a weiner about it. nice, car OP, i would never buy one, but doesnt mean im gonna hate on you for your purchase, its your life, your choice. i have no use for small cars although they are fun.

That's funny. I bought my Tacoma from my buddy at the local Audi dealership. The guy traded it in on a wagon after his wife had a baby. I find it easier to get my girls in and out of my truck than any car. Especially with the lift. I also keep a Ducati in the stable for the twisties. Win Win.

Congrats on the graduation. Enjoy your new toy.

I agree- there isn't a better forum. Especially think it's cool how people meet up for lunch and to work on one another's vehicles. Quite admirable I think. The forums I have found for Audi aren't nearly as active.

I was on AudiWorld when I owned mine '06-'08. Then they changed the forum format and a huge number of members went elsewhere. Not nearly as homie as this place!

Nice car. We have a 2011 Audi Q5 in addition to the 2011 DCSB Taco. Love both cars. Actually sold a 2006 Audi A4 to purchase the Taco. Had nothing but good luck with the A4 and loved it.

    Enjoy your new toy!

    Turbo'd?! A very rare thing for the V8. You're sure it wasn't an '01 B5(2.7BiTurbo)?

Yeah fitting a turbo into a B6 is a little hard.

It was probably a B5 BiTurbo.
    Those are SWEEET too.

I saw one on the freeway a couple weeks ago that was tuned properly yet and he just rolled on it and pulled till like 120. Had so much extra fuel and not enough timing..pissed out black smoke alll the way under hard acceleration but it was quick:cool:

I'm positive it was the 4.2L.
