Research, be patient, save up, and build your truck right and the way YOU want it the first time.

Always keep a spare just in case. You never know when you'll have an accident.

Thanks. Amazing you kept with it after 20 something pages of BS :D

You're not the first person to mention that.

It's on jackstands again. Went to retorque the suspension components after Hollister and did a good once over on the truck.

Effing secondaries are still bottoming out on hard hits before the bumps stop the suspension from overtravel. I got pissed off and took a cutoff wheel to the truck last night. Cut off the shock tabs off the shock hoop and shortened them as much as I could. Notched them, changed the angle of dangle and rewelded the tabs back on.

For anyone contemplating long travel, I hope you have tools (including a welder), patience, beer and an eclectic vocabulary. If not, you will very soon. Despite the kit being a mostly bolt in and DIY, it's the little shit that kills you. Having a shop do it doesn't omit you from the previous statement either. Giant did my entire rear suspension and I've had to fix several of their shortcomings.

Drive it, break it, fix it, repeat.
At some point I hope I can get two "drive its" done in a row.

It certainly is one of those things. Every time I drive the truck I love it. Whenever my truck is on stands I'm driving around in my tundra and I just can't wait to drive the damn taco again...until it breaks. I fixed the problem last night, but too late in the night to put it all back togeather. The tundra has been sitting for 2 weeks and was covered in dirt, bird shit, and spider webs.....

Glass was all painted with colormatched paint through a HVLP gun and then custom pinstriping added on several occasions :anonymous:
It's not a PERFECT match, but much better than rattle can.

They turned out nice man. Do you know what paint product you used? I may paint my clip black until I have the time and funds to take a week off of work and repaint my whole truck tan.

You would probably think different if you saw it up close. Wax helps blend it.
That being said Giant did it when they did the rear LT. Paint came from a local auto paint wholesaler.

Jason, I live vicariously through you. Except for the pinstripes--which I need to get rid of...

Well, I got home and this is currently what my truck looks like.

This is currently what the top shelf of the fridge looks like in the garage.

I decided I didn't have enough energy to accomplish both.
Still recovering from weekend frustration, so beer wins today.

At $18 a case you can't beat it with a stick. I love IPA's and Pale Ales and quite honestly all the Kirkland beers are not bad. The Kirkland beers are actually brewed by Gordan Bierche. I like to think I'm supporting my local breweries. :D
